So let's say the Draft is enabled for a war or some shit reason i don't know. Let's say your name is pulled.

Why the fuckshould or would you ever bother doing your 'duty' instead of leaving the country? The people in charge couldn't care if you starved to death on the streets at best and outright hate you at worst, why should you or I die for them while their kids or grandkids the same age as you go to Harvard or some cushy Ivy League school with all the money they've stolen from the American people?

A draft is political suicide since the establishment has made it a point to shit on this country and make it seem not worth dying for. I was a teenager during the Bush years, and throughout my high-school experience my teachers would tell us we'd be getting drafted (they'd never specify it would only be the men), and many of them believe it because they're stupid enough to think that. There was an obvious fear they had that they would be forced to fight in OEF/OIF not realizing that we never really struggled to get bodies for infantrymen (rare specialities were the exception).

in the event of a draft against Russia/China this country I do believe is fucked. A study (archive) showed while a majority would stay and fight, it's mostly because of Republicans and older men.
