Wikitravel gets salty if you mention the fork

I don't know whether you have ever heard of Wikitravel, but there was a fork some time ago and unlike our friends over at Rationalwiki (who take the fork in surprising good sport considering their usual sperg-fests) their attitude towards the fork is ridiculous... They ban mention of the very term and do stuff like http://wikitravel.org/wiki/en/index.php?title=User_talk:Adzas&diff=next&oldid=2384495 this to anybody who brings it up... What's going on there?

Yes. A part of the community left and founded their own travel wiki.

IIRC the reasons for the fork were the outdated software (Hello Rationalwiki) and the erratic behavior of the paid admins including ignoring the community... Oh, and it went for profit and advertising driven...

You can post screencaps or archives of some of the best bits, the salt, etc. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt. You can upload them to Imgur and post them here.

How do you even put salt on a fork? Wouldn't it fall through the tines?
