While Microsoft has been making numerous cuts to their workforce by claiming its to secure their future success and growth, the firings are immediately followed by mass filings for foreign visas, mostly H-1B applicants, who can be employed for a fraction of the cost of American workers.

I remember over 20 years ago I got a call from a pack of Indian scammers claiming to be from Microsoft and trying to get me to grant remote access so they could fuck with my computer. I knew better and hung up.

Now, those same scammers are probably getting legit jobs in Microsoft. Fuck this gay Earth.

Thank God they have finally cancelled Perfect Dark. The whole thing felt like a money laundering scheme. The director somehow needed the help of another studio which happens to be the one that he was in charge of before being hired by Microsoft. All these years of development and absolutely NOTHING to show.

You know, it's shit like this that makes me think hardware makers are just trolling their customers at this point. Like, I've even seen reviews of high-end PC's that are way too overpriced for the parts they are offering inside.

They can scream "tarrifs/inflation" all they want, but what this really looks like is just companies trying to see how far they can push the envelope until people REALLY have had enough. The sad part is I don't think that moment is EVER going to happen because we are all surrounded by braindead retards that will buy anything for any price

Steam Deck sold 4 million across all versions at the more optimistic projections. There are another 2 million sitting on shelves or in warehouses. All other handheld PC gaming devices are combined 2 million in units sold but that figure might be shipped units instead. There is no market for these kind of devices outside of very niche or hardcore groups. And out of the major console brands Xbox might as well be a phantom at this point.

The PSP sold around 80 million. PSVita was 13 million. The Nintendo DS was a whopping 150 million. Gameboy Advanced was 80 million.

I would be shocked if these handheld "Xbox" units (that can't play Xbox games) even push 250K sales at retail.

Who knew that the company you worked for that tried to copyright the word “Candy” and “Saga” would turn out to be a place with questionable morals to begin with.

Candy Crush has always looked AI generated to me so nothing will be lost, then.

Why a Bejewled clone would need 200 employees to begin with is anyone’s guess.

Do these people that get fired never think that they are replaceable at any time?

ESPECIALLY if you are employee #185 in a company that maybe needs 10 people to keep the business going.
