This game was total trash...no wait total slop.

The best part of the game wasn't even in the game. It was Kojima having a hissy fit because no one wanted to buy his shitty walking/package delivery sim. He claimed people in the West just wanted to shoot stuff like in Call of Duty games though the CoD series was pretty much in decline till Zoomers brought that shit back.

DS thread? Game was boring as fuck because the world was 100% static no danger flat plains, you don't need to plan anything, just strafe around the bandits and BTs (the only danger in the game, the latter are trivialized with the knife even on hardest difficulty). There are "avalanches" which amounts to a few meatballs spawning and rolling down very slowly. I'm hoping the sequel won't fuck this up, I don't care that the world is dead or some shit just make nature try to kill you

It was hotly debated for years whether Capcom or Kojima were to blame for MGSV being an shitshow with both pointing fingers at each other but I think between Death Stranding being boring pretentious nonsense and MGS3 Delta increasingly looking like it's going to be very good we can safely assume Kojima is a hack and he was the one at fault.

You should see the MG thread. A key writer left after MGS3 which is coincidentally when Koji lost the ability to discount-Tom-Clancy his stories into a somewhat digestable fashion.

Death stranding is a good game

I dont think it was successful at least not initially, maybe the pc release and then directors cut sales made up for it. Either way its a solid game barring a few balance issues. (ziplines and roads)

This is why I'm spitefully interested in him supposedly finally making a movie or a TV show or something soon:
I think the guy is a retard, I think Kojima's said for ages that he always wanted to be a movie director, and I know tons of people who jump up to defend him at a pin drop; I want him to hurry up and shit this turd, so I can turn around to those people and say "I fucking told you" because his shit only works when other people are wrangling him.

It would be funny if he pulled a M. Night Shyamalan and made a S rank movie by pure accident.

Kojima had absolutely nothing to do with Portable Ops

Holy fuck, a core memory. My friends spent a lot of time with Portable Ops playing against one another on the bus ride home. Despite having to fight with PSP controls, it was still a pretty solid game. Did anything more ever come of Null as a character? I know Raiden is the official poster boy child-soldier-turned-cyber-ninja of the series, but I didn't play the later entries to know if he played a part.

Also, Calling to the Night is up there with Snake Eater as far as MGS music goes. I still find myself listening to this from time to time.
