So has anyone seen those "YouTube iceberg" videos? Many people have made their own versions, but here's mine:
-Surface web: Pewdiepie, Markiplier, Ray William Johnson, T-Series, Logan Paul and other e-celebs that only zoomers care about, as well as cat videos and other white noise entertainment.
-Deep Web: unlisted content and edgy political content that somehow hasn't been taken down yet
-Dark web: Yelling Creature, ShayeSaintJohn, Mereana Mordegard Glesgorf, nana825763, Obey The Walrus and other stuff you hear about in literally every fucking "top 10 creepiest YouTube videos/channels"
-Charter Web: Videos that begin with punctuation marks (such as periods) or emojis ( full stop punctuation meme). These videos can range anywhere between regular shitposts to creepy stuff to actual gore and porn to outright CP. This happens because YouTube's man-made algorithm cannot tell a video's content if it just begins with punctuation marks. So basically, it'll bypass their autocheck. These videos, even if they violate community guidelines, can only be taken down manually.
-Marianas Web: Langrenus 2021-14 and YouTube videos that can give you viruses and other videos that contain other kinds of weird code / script that is designed to carry out certain tasks. Btw, that last one isn't a joke. There was one video called "Kute Kitten Trys To Make Jump" uploaded by this weird username in 2017 that shows a cat jumping off a ledge and running. Several users reported that when they clicked on this video, it would take forever to load, but when it finally did, it only lasted a few seconds long. What was also remarkable about this video is that there was no recommended or related videos in the sidebar, it was just blank, the comments and ratings had been disabled and if you went to the user's profile, it would say that the channel wasn't available. One user reported that after watching this video, he went to bed and went to shut his laptop off, but it got stuck at an updating screen and was very bright, so he closed the laptop because the light was bothering his sleep, and the light still shined from underneath. He later went back up to login, and after doing so, his wallpaper was changed to a gore image and his screen was damaged, likely from the heat, basically meaning that this malware that was somehow released to his PC in the form of some Trojan horse, had literally hard bricked his computer. Even his hard drive received physical damage. There was also a text file (as the rest of his files were changed and not working) that contained all of his personal information and a written threat in it called JPenchanted.txt. And this isn't the only time something like this has happened on YouTube, because there was another channel called "Unfavorable Semicircle" that appeared in 2015 and was very short-lived that produced a series of strange, short YouTube videos that contained different sounds and colors and images. This account had uploaded 80,000 videos, and it is speculated these were all uploaded manually in a short amount of time. There was tons of investigation into the meaning of these videos, and somebody was autistic enough to actually watch EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM and noticed that every one was different (how they memorized each one to tell is mind boggling). Two videos received the most views, and they were called "Lock" and "Relock" which allegedly contained images of aliens hidden in them and used stegonography in sound clips that contained a hidden message. Within a certain amount of time during this channel's short-lived existence, YouTube decided to terminate it for violating it's guidelines against "spam or repetitive content." However, there were certain videos on that channel that, when played, would either keep playing endlessly after you've already reached the end of it or would crash your device or PC when played. I even have personal experience with this myself back during the early days of YouTube when I discovered this short Team Fortress 2 video of Heavy Weapons Guy that lasted only a few seconds but would replay itself on a constant loop. In fact, I'm not alone either, because other people have reported seeing this happen as well. So this phenomenon is not only possible, but has been documented throughout YouTube's history.
