Now that I'm out of college and looking for jobs, YouTube has been recommending stuff with messages along the lines of "You'll never get hired", or "Most jobs in the world are Bullshit", or "You'll never earn anything decent", or "You'll be doing the work of three men for one man's salary", or "Your coworkers or managers are most likely garbage people", or "You have no chance because you're a man", or "You'll never find anyone who will stick with you through anything", or "Women are sociopathic narcissists". A lot of the depressive stuff is in the comments, which I find myself reading thoroughly before watching the videos.
I'm not sure if YouTube is trying to kill me, or if I've entered a negativity-focused algorithm strain, but I want to break out of it. I don't want to be mopier or more cynical than I already am.
