Anyone remember the old ass YouTube trolling communities from 2007 or perhaps earlier? These were the years when you could produce direct video responses to a specific user, and dialogues would occur from all these back-and-forth videos within the userbase. A result of these was the rise of YouTube trolls.

With the mass normalization of the internet and the subsequent rise in YouTube's popularity during 2007, people uninitiated with the seedier side didn't really know how to deal with trolls. Trolling was still a foreign concept to most of the internet, so it wasn't hard riling up users thinking YouTube was their safe space.

Some of the earliest lolcows and trolls I became familiar with cropped up during this era. Two of the more prominent trolling crews were the Second Life griefers The Patriotic Nigras and Fried Chicken Trolling Crew. Most of them have long since become inactive and YouTube's sanitization has effectively salted the earth, but the memory still lives on. Anyone else remember those days?

Long ass time ago I was wrapped into the D2FC group. Some ancient anti-furry group. Never was a part of it, but I always ended up where they were, so I was a remora of the group.

From what I can remember, no. It was mostly just limited to comments on various furries channels. Mostly going after Taryn Shipp and Artie Whitefox.
I mean, some of the guys did upload videos, but those were generally unrelated to what they did, with the exception of one or two of them.

You know what's funny? One of their members, AkrekZ is now a flaming furry and part of the Alt-Furry group.

Sorry for deadposting, but I just stumbled across this thread.

I used to be part of D2FC until I and a few other people cannibal-trolled it out of existence since it got really boring and a lot of the members ended up being better to troll than the usual furries/bronies.

I gotta admit, I do miss the days of ol' Foocy Toocy.

I always did enjoy watching the Nigras troll the shit out of retards on SL using Programming.

He became a troll because he got fed up with the furries and joined the NFM to stir the pot from the inside. Which is where he met you, or so I am informed. Through you, he met several other trolls he might not have met otherwise. I know he got fed up with the double standards a lot of trolls and furries had in common, however. According to him, he was always in it for the debates and even that dried up after far too short a time. He's mentioned you once or twice, wondering what you've been up to, but mostly, he just draw tits for money now. The story is that he got fed up with furries, trolled them for a while, got tired of that and decided to do his art while staying as disconnected from the furry community proper as humanly possible, while still catering to their interests. That seems pretty precarious though, if you ask me.

Damn, nipple, there's a name I haven't heard in forever. Yeah, I miss it to... kind of. At least while the laughs were still good. Now these people are just trolling themselves.

The way I remember it, they didn't need to be cannibal trolled. The brass left the group and the group tore itself apart from the inside. Which is, you know, how all the troll groups ended up dying.

Krekz never really stopped being a furry. Near as I can tell, Dredjir and Akrekz were both furries by admission, and then they got fed up with the community. Kind of like a lot of furries supposedly did, only I guess they were going for notoriety too. Some of the D2FC definitely got it. I remember it pretty clearly. Dredjir was used as a figurehead for the group and proclaimed by both the members of the D2FC and their uhhhhh "victims" as the nigger god. I still have the picture he made stashed somewhere for it, lol. It was a short run though. All the people up top, including Dredjir and Akrekz both got tired of the shit and just sort of disappeared. The rest of the members started infighting and I watched from the background. I talked to Dredjir about it myself, since I was on good terms with him. Apparently everyone but a handful of the people he talked to always said the same old shit and he figured he was wasting his time for what he felt was a dying hobby. He also said that they were all going to be their own worst enemies anyway. And he was right, but it wasn't news even then. I'm just surprised to see people even talking about it now, so I figured hell, why not. I made an account to discuss it. And that captcha is fucking hilarious, by the way.

During the whole "lets infiltrate the nfm" fiasco i specifically wanted to burn my reputation for a fresh start which is why i personally instead of my like 5 socks at the time joined in
problem is i just sorta ended up "stuck" i still wanted to go back but it just wasn't the same anymore especially as you mention how tiresome it became it wasn't a hobby anymore but like a chore
tho i oughta say my opinion back then the furry fandom needs trolls more than trolls need it as they keep the degeneracy at least somewhat in line has not changed but rather strongly solidified

I agree to an extent. The fandom needed to be slapped down, but the trolls never really did it the way they thought they were doing. Some would say that what they needed was better direction and inspiration to stop thinking like a bunch of sick fucks on the verge of cannibalism. Note that now, the soft headed sheep are doing to each other what trolls did to them and the problem is now somehow worse. For them though, not necessarily for those outside of it. My biggest issue is that the point or trolling isn't to fix their problems. The whole point was to have fun pushing their buttons, was it not? And now the easiest way to troll them is to sit back, relax and watch them troll themselves. Trolling was never a way to incite change.

All that having been said, I still understand your position. Yeah, you made a gamble and it turned out to be a loss. But when you think about it, most of the trolls at that time were just as childish and edgy as the furries. So I submit that you didn't exactly lose anything much. It doesn't pay to try to impress bottomfeeders.

agreed pretty much i do sometimes miss the thrill tho
then again being a degenerate "furzi" does add a considerable insult to injury when i do get to stomp on someone

trolling did to a degree have that positive effect but using that as justification aka bringing morals into being a dick spoiled the whole broth

Pardon bumping this thread, but anyone remember that period between 2006-2011 when YouTube was rife with internet drama between now completely forgotten personalities? A weird social circle of "friends", for lack of better word, would emerge during this period which included made2order555 (later MindDuel, CyanTerrorist and Jawsusfreak777), corgijacked, bcj999, LisTheVideoMaker, Ickeriss and others whose names escape me. It was during this time when imageboards and Encyclopedia Dramatica were at their respective peaks, and trolling lolcows was a pastime enjoyed by lots of people. Anyone remember Paul Fetch?

Most of those people have long since disappeared and moved with their lives, but it was during that time when complete stranger vlogging about whatever could just, for a moment, get together and laugh at shenanigans pulled by YouTube's village idiots.
