The Homefront review debacle is the greatest proof of how he doesn't understand the business he is in. Instead of capitalising on the first big boost in viewership, especially since it was the new channel and could've been the chance to rebrand, he chose to take the boosted revenue and spent it on a staycation. My favorite example of this desperate need of his to be relevant was when he did a clickbait review a few years ago for KO Gaming of Homefront that got like 500k views. He got all puffed up talking about how 'viral' it went and, in fairness, he DID get a bump in subs to KO Gaming after the review which is the last, and pretty much only, time that I can think of where his content actually resulted in increased traffic. He got so up his ass about it though that he made an entirely new channel trailer that comes off as really desperate and embarrassing welcoming all the new subscribers.
The absolute best part of it though was when, in his long tradition of immediately squandering any new attention or positive bump in his business that he could maybe capitalize on if he wasn't so fucking lazy, he says IN THE CHANNEL TRAILER directed at all these new subs that he's gonna be 'taking some time off' lmaooooo. It's such a classic moment of DSP buffoonery. The first time in years that he's gotten that kind of attention on a video and the last time that he's gotten anywhere near a half million views, and the fucking FIRST thing he does is make a channel trailer to tell all those new subs 'peace out' and then takes a vacation!!

WELCOME To All Those New To KOGaming!
In the last 2 weeks, my video review of Homefront: the Revolution went viral on YouTube, leading to this channel KOGaming getting hundreds of thousands of vi...youtu.be
As a result, the new viewers saw someone who didn't care to entertain and went elsewhere. If he had instead focused on making more reviews, some of the new eyes on him would've stayed. Yes the reviews weren't that good, but people are willing to forgive a lot of quality issues when they can see something just started.
Yes in the grand scheme of things, it's more than likely he'd simply turn most of them away like he normally does. However he had a chance, which is more than I can say for him now.
Even if he did have a similar event now, like what he is attempting with the twitter tantrum, it won't have a chance to stick. People are more aware of his toxic reputation than ever, as well at it at the lowest yet (and will continue to get lower). On top of that he only has motivated people more and more to warn others away from him. It's telling that despite all the "attention" on twitter, most responses have be negative towards him.
Edited to expand on some details.
