Jaron Seth Bloshinsky / Jazz Jennings / I Am Jazz - Puberty Blockers: Not Even Once

But this whole clip is absolutely disturbing on so many levels. First of all; obviously the poor kid is overwhelmed and having a fucking breakdown, the family can only stand 6ft+ away from the kid while he’s crying out for help,
Not sure if anyone’s touched on this clip yet:
But in my “personal opinion” it seems like Jaron just does whatever to try to fit in with his family; poor things been alienated since day one with these people. What’s even crazier is he’s only 17 years old: and surgery is scheduled for a month after h.s graduation. Let that sink in… poor little boy. I hope he can get away from these people…..

I honestly can't feel anything but sorry for the kid. He's miserable, anxious, stunted, and doesn't know that it doesn't have to be this way. No one will tell him.

He's like a caged bird whose never seen the outside, so he doesn't know he's in a prison. He can't even see the bars around him, because everyone else around him is telling him "Oh, those aren't bars. Those are just pretty decorations, don't ask about what's on the other side."

wtf is that video. How is it that Debbie (Jazz's aunt?) is the only one to actually comfort him and that's after he's basically broken down in front of his entire family - whose only response was to give him a quick hug and send him on his way..?

It's also pretty telling that everyone keeps looking away while he bursts into tears and basically has a full on mental health crisis in front of them.

Jeanette and the grandparents can't even look at the camera in the interviews, so still obviously feeling guilty the next fucking day (or whenever they were filmed)... So telling:

It's because the family has no idea what to do. Their body language says they all feel uncomfortable with the situation, rather than worried, no matter what they say for the camera.

Just look how Griffen's and Ari's faces tell you they really don't give a shit.

(around 8:00 in the video, you can see them more worried about the mic and being on frame than Jazz.

Also, when your kid is going through such moment, you try to comfort them inmediately, not after they finished saying whatever Jazz was saying. It's all a show and a really bad one. For comparison, look at the scene when Juno tells her parents she's pregnant, the exact moment when she does it:

Now look again the picture up and tell me if the Bloshinskys' faces look remotely like these two who are just acting.

Because, see, this family has four children and Jazz is the youngest. They've gone through the twins and Ari being teenagers and none of them acted like this. In fact, it's very rare that a teenager would call a family meeting to tell them "I have so many feelings!!" in this way. Most teenagers are private about their feelings and emotions and want to be left alone. Not saying thsi is good or bad, just that it's something most teenagers do.

He's miserable, anxious, stunted, and doesn't know that it doesn't have to be this way. No one will tell him.

That’s what’s so frustrating about watching the show.

We all know the perfect solution for Jazz - drop the family, move far away, stop the TV show, and most importantly DETRANSITION. If you don’t, the LGBT community will NEVER let you go, will NEVER care to address your anxieties and depression because THEY DON’T CARE. They have a brand to protect and YOU’RE the face of it. If Jazz isn’t constantly happy and “stunning and brave” it proves this transgender crap wrong and they can’t have that. That will destroy all they’ve been working for the past several years.

It’s depressing - Jazz shouldn’t have to worry about letting millions of crazy mentally ill Instagram trannies down every single day of his life.

NO SHIT he’s constantly a mess - the kids are stupidly clueless and the adults are narcissistic demons.

AND THIS WOMANS FACE PISSES ME OFF

Grams' hair is so big and her face is so narrow. She looks like an anthropomorphic broccoli.

Maybe it was just watching that clip out of context, but I don't really understand the point of it. Calling the family together for a "now or never" reveal about... changing the valedictorian speech? What did that have to do with having so many feelings and feeling things so strongly? Couldn't that have been accomplished by saying "hey mom, last minute inspiration, so I'm changing my speech, can you decorate my cap for me?" Why did the whole family have to be involved? I feel for Ari and Griffin, being around Jazz must be so tiresome.

I'm baffled by the mermaid tail exhibit being some kind of motivational representation of the complications of girlhood. It seems more like surreal irony. What says more about complicated girlhood than worrying about your lower region turn into a figurative fish? I get that's not the intended message, but I don't know how they didn't think about that more carefully.

Surprised this isn’t talked about more: but it seems like the Jennings family makes money from recruiting young transgendered youth into mutilation; cousin Debbie (Deborah Eve Grayson) had a huge roll in Jazz’s early ‘diagnosis’, she’s a sex therapist, gender therapist etc… cousin Debbie, (imho) used this poor little boy to further her career. Her quick hug’n kiss and talking to Jazz, is the LEAST Debbie can do. The entire time I watched this episode, I was thinking WHY ARENT THEY HOLDING THE POOR CHILD?! Wtfff! I’m not even a parent and I know this shit… FFS. I could just picture behind the scenes… “We did this all for you Jazz…..” with the Mars attacks looking grandma. Boy, she’s fucking scary looking… the pics posted on here with just her face made me drop my phone in the night😭

Even the grandma was like "This clearly has nothing to do with the speech."

I think the meeting was called because Jazz was overwhelmed and knew stuff had to get done. So it was "hey fam I have anxiety, I'm freaking out, can you help me finish my cap." That was the ask, but Jazz had to justify it with this whole sordid history about why he was incapable of doing it. He has to be completely at the point of a breakdown before he can admit he is not perfect and can't accomplish what he intended to do with the amount of time he has left. He has really bad perfectionism, and breaking like this is the only way he knows how to address the issue.

Other people would have probably been like "Well I wish I could write a different speech, but I don't have time," but he was running entirely on emotions and HAD to do it but COULDN'T and that sent him into a tailspin.

It’s because it wasn’t about the cap or the speech. It was a subtle cry for help concerning EVERYTHING.

Yes, most kids would’ve just asked for help and not be as dramatic. But you also have to remember most kids haven’t gotten their genitalia cut off, aren’t on TV, and aren’t the face of the transgender movement.

I think a reason the adults just sat there while he cried was perhaps one moment of clarity. A “Shit…maybe it WASN’T such a good idea to film this kids life and force him to become the face of a movement while he’s still legally a child…”

That’s what Jazz was crying about. The pressure of being a transgender icon that was forced upon him that he really didn’t ask for and the parents now being somewhat held accountable for that. Being put in a situation they couldn’t escape as the cameras were rolling. Realizing how much they screwed this kid over or understanding at least how BAD this looks for them to the rest of the world.

And that’s when Jeanette finally gave Jazz the awkward Frankenstein hug and the others, obviously, had to join in. That’s what love is right? Hugs are what humans do to show others they’re actually good people and they care…right??? Hugs show we can’t be bad. So here’s your awkward family hug Jazz, now get back to writing that damn speech about great it is to be transgender and how perfect your life and the LGBT movement is. Yeah, I know it’s a graduation speech, but PUT IT IN THERE.

Have you guys noticed that when they’re referring to Jaron’s grandparents in the show, they almost always refer to the Baries (Grandma Jackie and Grandpa Jack) and never to the paternal grandparents (the Bloshinskas).

I wonder if Greg’s parents had some questions about doing this to their grandson and then Jeanette was like: “We’re not going to deal with your transphobic intolerance anymore!”

it’s just kind of odd that we almost never see that set of grandparents in the show, but the maternal grandparents are featured all the time.

Wonder if a falling out happened and it was due to Jaron (of course, what else would it be) or if they’re just really camera shy.

Thank you. Lord knows I've TRIED to talk about it here...........

She's also active on that "Purple People" (or whatever it's called) foundation of J&G's.

They suggested as much in an early special; "certain family members" disapproved and so got disappeared.

According to FB, Jazz and clan still attend events with Greg’s father Marvin and stepmom Joyce so there doesn’t appear to be any estrangement. Joyce has some rah-rah trans shit on her timeline as well, so they’re down with the clown (world).

Marvin is a retired OBGYN. I think it was @sperginity who posted info about him earlier in the thread but search isn’t working for me right now. Marvin appears to have had facial plastic surgery of the Barry Manilow variety:

Naturally they live in Boca.

Y'all* need to see this super based TERF react to the Jazz show. She's got a whole series of Jazz bits, but also videos about other children who claim him as some sort of inspiration for their own medical interference at tender ages. TT Exulansic for ease of searching.

*YES I am Southern, for those of you bitching about Yankees saying y'all.

The clip is talked about less than ten pages ago and it would be nice if newfags could lurch a little more so we don't get these endless repetitions of things that have up to debate over and over again.
Jazz paternal grandparents has been discussed recently too.
