I'd like to make an effort into changing peoples opinions or at least opening up a line of discussion and investigation to that AH/RT are no longer in control. People really don't like a lot of whats going on and calling out names of staff who are all front of camera. I present that this is the same as yelling at the person taking your order at Burger King for the companies policy of harming animals.
I might be getting way to much into this and going full blown conspiracy theory mad but I've watched AH (no little to no main RT content) from the start and like most things major changes don't happen over night. So there are some ideas I'd like to present.
AH On Camera staff never had filters. They did have some good taste and common sense, while they would some times make real dark jokes it was always edited with bleeps and in a way that was funny and was a ramp up into absurdness. There is a saying that if you want to know who's in charge just look at who you cant make jokes about or talk about.
Watching through content you can see after each major purchase of AH they start to filter more and more what they say.
Something that has bothered me recently is their office situation. They don't openly talk about it, they only reference it as inside jokes. Never have they been afraid about talking about their offices, they dox them self's many time over the years reveling the street address and buildings they work in and talk about their work environments. There's no real reason not too as they are a company they do have a front door and a public listed address and as time went on security to keep weird people from wandering in. Even over time watching their live action stuff you get an idea of the layout of offices. Prior to the pandemic they where just tenants of a large complex for a company that basically rented out studios and space for the entertainment and film industry. Same thing as renting office space, just specialized for their industry.
They are now doing more and more live action things and we are seeing their office. Which they don't talk about. Its bog standard office space, nothing we've ever seen before. It honestly looks like a bunch of work stations where removed and some desks setup to do lets plays. I honestly don't think they are at the same physical address as they used to be in. I think they've been moved some weird place.
Whats also weird is people from RT are using the stations to do their recordings too, like shift workers.
I noticed in the background there is a large sign that says "COOP Video Austin Texas". I tried a little google searching but as a pleb really didn't find any thing.
To sum it up in a TLDR I think what we are watching is the slow process of what Activision did to Blizzard, a slow cannibalization from the inside. Every one yells at Blizzard but in the end there really is no blizzard any more its just a mask Activision wears and Activison was always very clear about what they wanted to do with video games, turn it into a production line process removing the art and soul from video games.
Extra Credit:
Objectively watch Jermey Dooly, he bet against AH and moved away from Texas and build his own company (His twitch stream and brand) to stand on his own two feet. Now that AH has an office again and its looking like he might have made the wrong decision he is experiencing panic attacks for the first time in years and having a real brake down. He isn't talking about why or whats going on in his mind so this is just unproven theory, Keep this in mind as he is in Texas this past week to do videos, or I bet more likely, to discuss his future at AH and in the next months we will see an announcement that he is either leaving for good or moving back to Texas.
