I agree there's some shred of truth to the idea that some child molesters get off on the power thing or the sadism aspect, but saying not all pedophiles touch kids is clearly defending them, even if it's true.

Consuming CP, even if they don't produce it, still creates a market for it. Knowing full well you shouldn't be around kids, but still doing so, makes you a threat. Not seeking help when you know you need it, makes you a danger.

I am just going to throw this out there, take it with a pinch of salt because I have no formal education in the field of psychology.

Jacob is demonstrating a couple of odd behavior that we all find unnerving, consciously and sub-consciously. On the conscious level it is because of the clearly wretched and disturbing topic. On the other level....

He is displaying behaviors of guilt. What he is doing through his bizarre arguments on the subject is justifcation of a situation, topic, or action. May it be "accidental nudity" in front of children. Or how you are completely not a pedo just cause you molest a kid.

The second behaviour of guilt is something called Disproportionate reaction. His seems to take the form of 15 posts with irrelevant topics, links, and arguing to win on odd super-niche technicalities on the subjects.

When anyone attempts to address his inappropriate behaviour, or confront him with it, he seems to go for "I am not a pedo cause x! you are the pedo for thinking that pedo who are attracted to children are pedos...!" Which is deflection. He takes no accountability for anything, or as little as possible. If between a rock and a hard place, he will attempt to edit his way out of it like he did on reddit, for example.

The only thing missing now is the 'the child wanted it' arguement (though he is not far from it). I do not think very highly of Jacob, for obvious reasons. That is essentially in part what he is doing. He is externally rationalizing the topic of pedophilia ( as he does with other topics as well but this one is pretty bad). What this means is that he is blaming external factors rather than thinking something is off about himself. Now, obviously he has not been caught with his hand in the cookie-jar here, but he is acting suspicious.

He seeks out the subject of pedophilia, and will argue for why pedophilia is not pedophilia from the looks of it; which is rather close to a very common pedo-argument of: I only touched, I didn't penetrate them, it's ok they were asleep, she didn't cry therefore she wasn't hurt, there was no blood, and no on. It is really not far from this type of argument.

Currently he is stuck on "Nudity is natural in front of children." of course, this may be the case in some settings. Then you add the weird factors of 'accidental nudity'. His knowledge about toddlers masturbating themselves. How it is not pedophilia to just be attracted to a child, as long as you don't do anything....or as seen in the latest reddit post "It is stigmatizing a group of people because they are attracted to minors. While most CSA are predominately attracted to adults!" As if this somehow helps his standing. They are sexually and in some cases, emotionally attracted to children and it is still pedophilia. Not that he sees this.

He is attempting to normalize this for what I am assuming is an egotistical reason. That reason is to feel less guilty about something.
