I'll try and find it, but there was a video a while back of a woman "filming" herself being cat-called all day. Turns out she faked the whole thing and paid the guys to do it. It was only after they came forward that it was revealed as a hoax.

I timestamped it to the news footage because the footage of this awkward toddling man in a dress and two poorly fitted wigs is genuinely baffling - especially in the context of the media and this channel covering the story of someone they're trying to convince you is a 'woman' killing two adult men.

Most interesting in this piece was the description of their adolescence.

I was a late bloomer: stick figure thin with no discernible gender. The injustices I knew came in the form of daily bullying and abuse from my peers. I had developed some pretty debilitating body image issues by this time, and my coping mechanism was to wear all-black baggy clothes which sometimes extended to include chains and black lipstick à la Hot Topic... My father did not approve. Having an awkward, moderately gender-ambiguous spawn who indulged in Gothic aesthetics must have been very difficult for an ex-Navy soldier turned white-collar engineer to cope with. Being the frequent viewer of Fox News that he was, I was a living contradiction to everything he knew to be correct. I disappointed him a lot, and he yelled a lot more. I wished I knew how to please him without denying my own sense of self (what little I had). I’ll never forget his words, which would color my relationship with him over the course of my life: “To look at you is confirmation that I’ve failed as a father.”

This seems to clearly imply a tranny narrative.

I graduated top of my class with highest honors. This Fall, I'll be a transfer student, continuing my education at Berkeley where I hope to eventually achieve my Doctorate.

Before getting accepted into Berkeley, I attended a community college where I served as the regional president for my honors society, and unfortunately fell victim to the politics of respectability and professionalism. What I mean is that people passed judgment over the way I look, deciding for me that my manner was sexual. The reality was that I was being sexualized and then made to be held accountable for projections of sexuality upon me.

Because of these perceptions of others and the preceding gossip over my promiscuity, I was briefly removed from my position within the honors society. I was reinstated only when I fought back—but then I functioned as more of a figurehead than an empowered leader, because I stopped receiving work from my coordinators/advisors who wanted little to do with me; in other words, I got my position back and was effectively ostracized.

I don't normally dress this way… but *even if I did,* my degree would be the same degree. I would still be a smart person; a caring person; a motivated person, and I would still be worthy of respect. Coincidentally, a person's sexuality and the quality of their work would still be mutually exclusive—which I aim to highlight in dressing this way for my graduation.

People responded about how I expected them to: a mixed bag of cheers and jeers. Ultimately, I am not simply "looking for attention," but in drawing attention to myself I do hope to shed light on a much bigger issue where women's bodies are sexualized independent of context or action, and policed accordingly. Enough is enough.

I am going to Berkeley. I plan on accomplishing many great things. And I will fight this my entire academic and professional career, going forward. In the words of Sarah to the Goblin King—you have no power over me.
