Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

We're at "try to jail 17 year olds for not being murdered" level, not "screeming like a gorilla on live TV because some white man yelled at him funny" levels.

I think they should just keep planning these huge protests and continue to have nobody show up to any of them so we can keep getting these hilarious photos of feds and journos sitting around in empty fields with their dicks in their hands. Eventually the feds will get lazy and that's when you have the real protest.

Anyway, to be fair, she DELIBERATELY keeps herself in the dark about politics and news (not that that is much better). She can't handle the negativity that comes with it all. Didn't stop her from voting for Hillary, though, but she did that to match with her co-workers.

Edit: As a reminder, it was maybe 6 months ago that a bunch of retired generals were openly fomenting revolution. Now they lose $60bil in arms sales? Things are not looking up for Macron.

AKSHUALLY, Alexandria, Virginia was a sizable town since George Washington was a kid that before the 1840s or so used to be part of DC. Before the Civil War it used to be one of the most important centers in the country related to the import and sale of farm equipment. DC corruption and degeneracy spreading into Virginia is the North taking revenge on the South for their requests like "move the capital to the center of the country" and "let us keep our negros when Congress is in session."

Most Senators don't do their dirty dealings on facebook, possibly none but I can't discount abject stupidity. Most do their deals in person, with no paper trails. It's how it has been for years and never will go away. Again, not discounting abject stupidity.

Ironically, more likely to see younger senators drop that ball, so the ones with -real- skeletons in their closets don't have an online paper trail showing it.

Staff yes, they tend to be young and -dumb-, two-thirds of the crisis response my firm does is handling dumb fucking staffers. Reps come in second as a general class because they tend to be younger than their senator counterparts. Actually, as it was designed, the idea of the Senate is it's supposed to be older, more experienced, and a counterbalance to a younger House.

You joke, but a not-insignificant chunk of scandals you never hear about because people get a message going "Guess what, your employer's staffer posted nudes of themselves. Better get that shit taken down before anyone sees".

Because for some. fucking. reason. the staffers don't realize that when you are forced to list all your social media accounts, they are in fact regularly checked.
