My complaint on the TT appearance has nothing to do with the hosts being guys but in how long they took to release the video; the footage was recorded over a month before it went live as a premiere, and as a result it was stupidly outdated. Save for Calli’s usage of the term “narrative” leading to long-lasting (as in, existing to this day) arguments in Global as to whether or not she was/is still actively lurking, the entire interview was just boring.

I don't "browse" youtube or click Susan's recommendations. I just watch streams from my subscription page and clips on places where enthusiasts gather, like here.

The thing with that, though, is that not everyone gets represented. Calli, Gura, and Ina have fans that talk about stuff they say on member streams here; Kiara and Amelia do not. And in the absence of a rebuttal, people just accept the shit others parrot, and it “becomes” common knowledge even if its demonstrably false.

As a firsthand example, hours ago in Global there was a post saying something like “/infinity/ is melting down over the Calli collab”, they get a bunch of replies laughing at /infinity/ for being retarded, thread moves on. Then an anon went over there and linked back only 5 or so posts complaining about it.

People will clip whatever gets them views. Sure, it can be nice/emotional, like that one clip of Ame mentioning how playing videogames helped her cope with the death of a loved one, that was used at the end of the 1 year annoversary. Or it can be less than a minute of excited shark noises with a clickbait title and coomer thumbnail. With almost 4 million views.

On the topic of Kiara. I do still wonder plenty if the hate is overblown or undeserved. I think this has a lot to do with who she is, this is a site that often puts people into good and bad. Well rather the internet as a whole does that, when it's not always that simple. I've pointed out in the past how everyone has contradictory personality traits and I think we see this a lot with Kiara. I will now both sides this debate.
Kiara is someone who has talked a lot about being thankful and grateful, but is the one who complains the most. This juxtaposition can be strange, and maybe possibly be related to her idol past.

Mixed signals is right and may be why some hate her. She is paranoid to do something when there a slight bit of a fan backlash but with VShoujo she pushed for that despite management saying no at first. This could very well be because of fear of aggressive fans, the idol fans in Japan are ruthless and it feels that culture has effected her. She is strong but also weak, sometimes in different ways, sometimes in the same way.

Kiara's internal conflict between herself is her biggest personal issue and hopefully we can see her overcome it. I think she's fought through it a lot but it's still there. The issue of who Kiara wants to be and what her past tells her to be isn't an easy one to fix. Personally I think a little understanding can go a long way.


Here's to hoping you're wrong. Venting is good, fear is not, and here's to hoping she continues to push back on it.

I've checked her Twitter for some keywords like "white" and it seems this SJW shit has changed at least. So I think me and a lot of people are willing to give others chances as long as they don't make the same mistake.

I highly doubt a JP entertainment/idol/in general company would let their employee/contractor go on a talk show without some kind of minder because.. ~*~*~Japan~*~*~ The only time I feel management will not be there is 1) Mori roommate goes to it without telling them, which leads to her potential axing or 2) she's all graduated, NDA time period is over and she is free to do whatever she wants.

I am however, curious about the whole logistics and technical aspect of it. TT has one of those signed square things so it means she either had to be there or it was passed along. The whole can't simply move otherwise it fucks up the video recording makes me wonder if it was a massive greenscreen there, was the roommate behind it? Was she behind the camera but they needed the greenscreen there to put the avatar there?And if TT brought on another Vtuber, would they have to go through the entire problem like they did or it was just a massive issue because of how small their first location was? My logistical curiousity would like to know. No, I'm gonna devle into autsim territory. My logistical curiousity needs to know.

The roommate is sitting there. No green screen. They cropped the left side of the footage. Replace it with image/footage of empty room. Then they added Calli's Live2D in post production. The Live2D is captured live. The iPhone should be in front of her.

Around the same capacity with Suisei's Toyosu Pit and Watame's Zepp Tokyo, so it's still quite big, but far far from Tokyo Dome big (Capacity : 55,000). For reference, Budokan which is Suisei and Watame's dream has the capacity of 14,400 people.
Interestingly, the 3rd Gen live isn't "Supported By Bushiroad" like the other two mentioned. Granted, with the line up being this big, there is very little need for outside support.
