Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Yup, unvaccinated Americans are the ONLY people on Earth Joey talks tough to, but they aren't listening to him, either. I doubt anyone listens to Joey anymore. Why should they?

The great irony of the gun debate is that the blue are always saying "it shouldn't be easier to buy a gun than do X", and then they actually try to buy a gun and are shocked when they can't.

The second great irony of the gun debate is that most violent crimes are done with illegal guns. Hell, even POLITIFACT has to rate this as "mostly true"; think about THAT. So the actual laws won't do much to actually solve the problem.

The last thing Pookie wants is to shoot Mane-Mane with a gun that's easily traceable back to him, which is precisely what a legally purchased firearm will do. A shitty stolen semi-auto with the serials filed off will do just fine, thank you very much.

jogger school bro and some are saying it was a girl shooter. this will be out of the news by tonight.
No one gives a shit about jogger-on-jogger violence. Consider this story DOA.

Something mildly amusing from tumblr:

So the app has interstitial ads every 20 posts or so. These are notoriously stupid and nonsensical to the point where a lot of people think they're AI generated, but as of late the democratic party has bought what seems to be the entirety of the adspace on the platform. For the last week you'd see this every 10 minutes:

As of this morning though the ad has changed:

We're hitting amazing levels of desperation.

Trump seeking challenger to McConnell as Senate GOP leader: report

Former President Trump is vetting possible candidates to remove Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) from his leadership position, according to The Wall Street Journal. Sources familiar with the situation told the Journal that Trump has been speaking with senators and allies to gauge if there is any interest in deposing McConnell, though lawmakers and aides told the publication there has so far been little enthusiasm for the prospect. Despite being one of Trump's most powerful allies in the federal government when he was in office, a rift quickly formed between McConnell and the former president after he left office.

Though he did not vote to convict Trump during his second impeachment trial, McConnell said back in February that he believed Trump was "morally responsible" for provoking the deadly Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol. "There's no question, none, that President Trump is practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of the day. No question about it. The people that stormed this building believed they were acting on the wishes and instructions of their president," said McConnell. In an interview just a few months after he left office, Trump called for new leadership to replace McConnell.

“I think we’re going to do very well. We need good leadership. Mitch McConnell has not done a great job. I think they should change Mitch McConnell,” Trump said in a Fox News interview in April. In August, Trump blasted McConnell as being "overrated" for his support of the bipartisan infrastructure bill. "Nobody will ever understand why Mitch McConnell allowed this non-infrastructure bill to be passed. He has given up all of his leverage for the big whopper of a bill that will follow," Trump said in a statement at the time. "I have quietly said for years that Mitch McConnell is the most overrated man in politics — now I don’t have to be quiet anymore."

Despite Trump's attacks on McConnell, support among the GOP for the Kentucky senator has remained steadfast, threatening to split Republicans as Trump seeks to consolidate his control of the party and punish those who publicly criticized him for his role in the Jan. 6 attack. Speaking to the Journal, Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) one of Trump's allies in the Senate, expressed doubt the former president would be able to oust McConnell. “I just don’t realistically see that happening,” said Kennedy. The Hill has reached out to McConnell's office for comment.

@Gehenna, thoughts? What does this mean for the Republican faction of the cabal? Also, is this actually feasible, or is Trump blowing hot air?

It is my theory that the hot-crazy ratio exists because if you're attractive enough you'll receive far less social pushback for your mistakes or bad behavior in general.

I've also become convinced that many women have observed the hot-crazy ratio and decided "hey if I act crazy, then I'll be hot."
It's called the Vicki Mendoza Diagonal. You don't want to get to the Shelly Galezby area though.

(In a black hood, it behooves one to be the crazy white bitch, for real for real).

It probably isn’t feasible because he’s too good of an operator. McConnell is stupid valuable to Kentucky and the party in general, but the fact that Trump can make threats at all (‘cause the base will jump for him if asked) gives him leverage to get concessions.

I've been saying this for years! (go me! back slaps all round)

The internet is littered with bots. Reddit, Facebook, Twitter, Insta, are majority Bots. % varies on how much tinfoil you wear, but i reckon 75% of these platforms are bots.

The whole internet investing based on user numbers is a massive bubble waiting to burst. Investors believe there are 1 billion twitter users (for example) when the real figure is much, much less. But based on 1 billion users, ads should make X amount of return/revenue, so investors chuck more money in to the platform. The platform then buys more bots so show an increase in users and so on and so forth.

Does nobody find it strange that in the history of the WWW, we have seen massive companies come and go in time-spans less than the life of Facebook and Twitter, yet they're still around, without a competitor? (They're propped up by government/NSA and cannot be allowed to fail at this point)

Friendsreunited, Myspace, Tagged, Where are you now? Digg, to name but a few.
