The guys in the podcast have been pretty adamant since the start that they prefer their guests to be in-studio as it provides for a more organic flow in conversation compared to having the guest in a remote call. They're pretty good friends with Kevin Penkin (composer of 'Made in Abyss' OST) and they've been insistent that the only time they're bringing him in as a guest is if it's in-studio - which they haven't been able to since Penkin still can't fly to Japan due to travel restrictions.Huh, i thought the general rrat around that interview was that they used a stand in for Mori just to fill up the empty space and so that the Hosts had something to talk to, not that Karen was actually present there
Kinda interesting nonetheless, its actually possible too since they're all within Japan
What if her neighbors/roomates screaming and yelling is all in her head and it is all a side effect of Pippa never taking her meds?View attachment 2553028
I feel like sooner or later Pippa might need to use this for her chat. Call it a hunch.
I find that people hate Kiara because she would often talk over the other girls and often interrupt them and she doubles and triples down on annoying jokes or gags. Personally I like the loud/obnoxioius chicken. Its part of her character.I see, my bad then, nvm. I do have this feeling though about some external factor cuz I can tell you this much, most of the clips in general are not what I'd consider whining and are usually funny.
On the topic of Kiara. I do still wonder plenty if the hate is overblown or undeserved. I think this has a lot to do with who she is, this is a site that often puts people into good and bad. Well rather the internet as a whole does that, when it's not always that simple. I've pointed out in the past how everyone has contradictory personality traits and I think we see this a lot with Kiara. I will now both sides this debate.
Kiara is someone who has talked a lot about being thankful and grateful, but is the one who complains the most. This juxtaposition can be strange, and maybe possibly be related to her idol past.
Mixed signals is right and may be why some hate her. She is paranoid to do something when there a slight bit of a fan backlash but with VShoujo she pushed for that despite management saying no at first. This could very well be because of fear of aggressive fans, the idol fans in Japan are ruthless and it feels that culture has effected her. She is strong but also weak, sometimes in different ways, sometimes in the same way.
Kiara's internal conflict between herself is her biggest personal issue and hopefully we can see her overcome it. I think she's fought through it a lot but it's still there. The issue of who Kiara wants to be and what her past tells her to be isn't an easy one to fix. Personally I think a little understanding can go a long way.
Here's to hoping you're wrong. Venting is good, fear is not, and here's to hoping she continues to push back on it.
Any indications of what exactly happen? Some creepy manager fingerbanged her in exchange for her being an idol similar to how Harvey Weinstein would get his dick sucked in exchange for the actresses to get a part in his movies? The hole is not that deep, she had a bad experience in the idol industry and she is/was bitter about it. Easy to fall into that group when you're like that.
Would be nice. Sharing a place with a bunch of annoying randos seems like a fucking nightmare. Main reason why i havent moved out of my parent's house.
She mentioned that one roommate has went from being a bitch to being nice to her recently and people were guessing they need her to be able to make rent or something.Would be nice. Most of the content on Kiwi Farms is not for me, as I'm not really interested in people discussed here and I don't care about them. Andrew Dobson is one of the exceptions to this though, as I was tormented by his works for years. His retarded, obnoxious shit was posted over and over on twitter, /v/ and basically everywhere I used to lurk, without any means of filtering this shit out. I read some parts of his thread here and while I'm not very proud of myself, I'm somewhat satisfied he's not doing well and it's his own fucking fault.Pippa's chat piped up with Dobson.
Dobson's Thread.
Kiara is Kiara's worst enemy. I think her remarks are almost always blown out of proportion (on /vt/ and sometimes it spills over to this thread), but she willingly fuels this shit. I don't expect her to stop, people seething over her remarks is now a competition on its ownKiara's internal conflict between herself is her biggest personal issue and hopefully we can see her overcome it
I also saw Keeki's old tweets - I don't consider myself a SJW, but I actually agree with some of her opinions, especially the ones she had about my country (which went far too right during the past few years, to the point of nation-wide protests against some decisions). From my point of view she's not that big of a SJW and I'm not really bothered by this. From what I saw she used to be a pretty big sjw on Twitter prior to making her debut
Oh, this is not a manji symbol as in Tokyo Revengers (東京卍リベンジャーズ) mangaRu streamer and possible daughter of an oligarch, Mana Renewal is doing her her 100k subscriber steam. One of her mods is named View attachment 2553882.

I avoided Cakewalk on principle since I trust apps with a login requirement about as far as I can throw them. You know Cakewalk exists and is also free right? It let's you do everything you're currently limited on either of those DAWs you're using right now (Only catch is that it's Windows only and you have to make an account to use it.)
I'll also give special mention to Reaper (the same DAW Calli is currently using). It technically does have a price attached, however it is well known to not actually lock you out of using it after it's 60 day trial and instead just becomes nagware. (It's also one of the cheapest DAWs on the market as is with many a testimony claiming top tier stability).
Didn't I even say "unless they're using a really good voice changer" ? Pretty sure I did.Eh she definitely gets talked about here even if it's not a ton.
That being said the topic being discussed was about the girls collabing in general, so what gets talked about here specifically doesn't really matter since we here are just a miniscule drop in the massive bucket.
Because the voice isn't "coming out of a dude"
It's a voice changer (there's a fair number of JP streamers and vtubers that openly do this)
Listen to their voice you can tell it's being digitally filtered it has a very slight "robotic" sound to it as a result of the voice changer or at times sounds unnatural (like someone who inhaled helium)
And just before you respond "then why are they called mama"
The same reason Inuyama Tamaki is referred to as a male when it's an extremely open secret it's a woman playing them. Because vtubers and online personas get referred to by the identity they play.
Agreeing with you. I think most people's complaints about her behavior in collabs is just generally what happens when you stick a high energy female extrovert with a bunch of female introverts.I find that people hate Kiara because she would often talk over the other girls and often interrupt them and she doubles and triples down on annoying jokes or gags. Personally I like the loud/obnoxioius chicken. Its part of her character.
I made a summary post about Keeki/Kiara with most of the known info. See the quoted post below.Any indications of what exactly happen? Some creepy manager fingerbanged her in exchange for her being an idol similar to how Harvey Weinstein would get his dick sucked in exchange for the actresses to get a part in his movies?
So I checked and I don't think we have it summed up in this thread. So, a quick summary:
- Taught herself Japanese at a young age through brute forcing conversations over chat programs with native Japanese speakers
- Went to Japan and joined an Idol group "Tone Jewel" in 2012.
- Got essentially stalked and run out of the group by a guy known as JRCach who would impersonate venue managers and complain about her and tricked the band management to let her go. (documented via this lolcow thread where Keeki herself posted - https://lolcow.farm/pt/res/764.html) [https://archive.vn/1NmHS]
- Became a pariah in the industry not only due to this, but also that she gave an interview and was candid about the way the idol industry treated her. A big no no in Japanese culture - https://aramajapan.com/aramaexclusi...-japan-interviews-former-idol-keekihime/7546/
- Did some cosplay work over the years but never really made it big. During this time, the JRCach guy spread rumors online that she had gotten to Japan by prostituting herself essentially. Or she 'tricked' a guy to bring her over and then reneged on the deal. (A lot of the hate for Keeki/Kiara in cosplay sites, such as /cgl/ on 4chan, will cite this as their main gripe with her. That she slept her way to 'success')
- Tried to get a job at Lufthansa, which by my understanding is a really difficult to land and prestigious job. Failed the medical exam due to long term problems with Fibromyalgia and taking antidepressants - https://www.facebook.com/1839615052...e-new-cosplays-i-did-this-ye/611861545812734/
- Sometime during this, took small bit parts based on her cosplay work. Ended up in a 'pseudo' wrestling match where she was lied to about A) it involving men, and B) they would treat her nicely. Proceeded to get manhandled by ugly ass guys in the ring and had one rub his clothed dick all over her face.
- Was resigning herself to a life of being a 'normal' worker. Came to Japan one last time on an exclusive, once in a lifetime work visa that cannot be renewed. Many speculate she came as a translator during the Olympics. She also seemingly was trying hard one last time to get picked up by a major company as full time cosplayer. Of course, this got COMPLETELY derailed by COVID.
- We are now here. She's now the successful vTuber Takanashi Kiara, but the past 8-9 years of being completely shit on by every opportunity she's had has definitely caused her to be defeatist. It was much more prevalent in the early streams (you could tell she was in the Idol industry "Last place = loser/gets fired" mentality.) But she's getting better as time goes on.
Holo-EN and absolutely atrocious sleep schedules, name a more iconic duo.
The search for high quality, no-strings-attached free software can be a struggle, especially on the audio spectrum. I've been in the DAW rabbit hole a few years ago, ended up deciding on a paid one that wasn't Reaper anyway, but Reaper always stood out as one hell of an option. Hope it continues to work out. Consider me interested in where your V-tuber inspired creative endeavor takes you.I avoided Cakewalk on principle since I trust apps with a login requirement about as far as I can throw them.
I was avoiding paid apps as I tend to do, but the $60 license for Reaper is reasonable.
I'm currently playing around with Reaper, and I can see why our resident mall goth likes it.
Thanks for the recommendation.
I fail to see the big issue.
It might depend on the area and climate but I live in a city and we never had a cockroach infestation in this building. And with mold, it probably depends on how deep it seeped in but should only be somewhat annoying to get rid of over a period of time at the most.I fail to see the big issue.
Isnt like virtually impossible to escape from cockroaches if you live in a city? And isnt it easy to clean mold?
It really varies on how bad it is for each one now. And weighing that up on how difficult it going to be solve now. For instance:I fail to see the big issue.

Thats literally every apartment where I live. Just keep it clean and report unclean neighbors if roach problem remains excessively bad.
Could be worse. Where I live, roaches and mold aren't a big deal (at least not in my area), but certain local ethnicities have issues with bedbugs (because they share fucking everything), which would require a napalm strike to eradicate. I'd rather have roaches and mold in that case.I fail to see the big issue.
