I don't know why CBC thinks that smugly laughing at a growing block is going to do them any favors after the great raw dogging Canada is about to get after the dog and pony show of tonight is over. I think most of us on the PPC side of the fence realizes that it's going to take a while for the party to gain more momentum.

Either way the party grew a lot since last election, so at least there is a sizable enough of interest in the party gaining that we can have some turn around after what ever the fuck nightmare is about to come our way after tonight.

It was real funny when they used Trump as a joke spoiler candidate in the US. Until it backfired. That's gonna happen again. Let the liberals win. Let them laugh smugly.

I know nothing about Canadian politics, but what is the team I should be cheering for? Or at least the one that will generate the most salt?

Looking at the experience of what UKIP did here in the UK, they reached high enough poll numbers in 2014ish that it forced the Conservatives (much like Canada's Cons, a very liberal bunch) to adopt more Eurosceptic positions and propose the EU referendum at the next election. Canada doesn't have as clear a wedge issue as the EU debate was here, but I wonder if the PPC could pull off something similar, where they might force the Cons to tack further right again in order to win over PPC voters that make up the difference in seats they're losing.

Alternatively, maybe they'll just cuck out harder after this election and bet on the fact that Trudeau's popularity is declining and eventually he will lose. (Seems possible)

If O’Toole (the blue guy) wins, then the lefties in Canada will for sure bitch and moan that we are literally being riled by Nazis

edit for an update: CBC now projects that the liberals will have a minority government

CBC is furious. That whole line about the PPC, about how "we'll see what their messaging is next time, after Covid...".

We all know EXACTLY what they are going to do. They will call any and every advance for Canadian's better interest White supremacy.

They're setting this shit up now, they spent the entire day shitting on the PPC, trying their best to keep the Greens on life support. Saying the PPC stands against "your safety", as if people don't have a right to decide that for themselves.

They are fucking ready to make this shit a race thing, and they are going to go full on Critical Race Theory faggotry. All of these women panelists with their token diversity hire POC are just seething and ready for it.

All of this will only embolden the PPC, and they will be baffled by this.

This election solidified the PPC for me, without a doubt. And their response to them makes it clear to me that they are very very afraid of what they can accomplish.

To everyone wishing PPC success, you should relearn the history of the Conservative party. The Reform party and Progressive Conservative were the two right wing parties that gave the liberals majority after majority, and the PPC is just a repeat. You are not going to win over the red-blue splitters by supporting the meme party that only can say "no more lockdowns" that have lolcows as candidates that vetting process is DM'ing the dear leader on twitter. PPC has no convention, a criticism Bernier had, while also holding no leader caucus. Sloan and Maverick are also making "right-wing" parties, all to be the leader. This is not how we win elections or get some benefits.

CPC maintaning a minority for the liberals is a great thing considering Trudeau had 60% chance of a majority.
Also if you are an unironic accelerationist, your oppinion doesn't matter and you're most likely a CSIS agent.

How does the Liberal Party manage to have so much power when the NDP should in theory siphon off a lot of lefty progressives that are the bedrock of party activism (at least in the US)?
Jagmeet gets votes from students and fresh high school grads, keeping university towns, but lost all of their previous support built under Jack Layton. He doesn't campaign but instead sells poutine and films tik toks.

Because up here all the Left Wing parties follow the exact same playbook. The only time the NDP ever had a legitimate chance was when Jack Layton was running the show, and he fucking died of cancer after managing to BTFO the Liberals to third place.

Guy was practically a populist…

Also this, who the fuck would vote for a street shitter?
