You would think that a level of professionalism, level-headedness, and sanity would be expected of someone who runs and operates a shooting range, but the owners of Guardian Training Center (henceforth referred to as GTC) in Warminster, Pennsylvania have proven otherwise. Over the past month or so they have become notorious for harassing people who leave negative reviews of their business and offering $5,000 rewards for information on Internet users who bruise their ego. The drama began when Reddit user /u/generalraptor2002 posted a critical review of the business on the /r/PAGuns subreddit. In it he described the aggressive and unprofessional behavior of the staff over a perceived slight and advised people to stay away.
Most business owners would respond to a negative review by either apologising or calmly explaining their actions, depending on whether they believe themselves to have been in the wrong. Not so the owners of GTC. They responded by harassing the reddit user who made the post, which eventually escalated into harassing any reddit user who left comments criticising them. Here they are proudly announcing they "get their butthole licked every time they're in Colorado":
This harassment includes posting people's addresses and namedropping their relatives alongside implied threats of violence. This behavior also extends to people who leave negative Google reviews.
This carefree attitude towards their customer's privacy also manifests in the form of literal stalking. After an individual left a negative review, GTC believed it would be appropriate to take pictures of their car and post it on their website.
A decent summary of the events (that's probably better than the one I've written) can be found here. Naturally, the OP of said post is now on GTC's naughty list:
GTC also posted their side of the story on their website.
Right now the GTC website currently includes a list of "enemies" and offers financial rewards for their personal information. Just by looking at their website's Boomertastic web design you can tell they are a few sandwiches short of a picnic.
As a matter of fact, they have a long history of this behavior. Also posted on the website is an amusing slapfight with a rival local gun range.
Despite being eager to find out the identities of others, the owners of the GTC are not exactly transparent as to their own identities. They are clearly very sane individuals.
"Chris" is none other than Chris Sfinas, a trust fund baby who founded the range with his daddy's money. He is, by all accounts, a colossal asshole who can't help himself from being belligerent with his critics.
Sfinas recently reached a new low, attempting to punish somebody who left a bad review by snitching on them to the ATF.
I saw some discussion about this over on the Mega Rad Gun Thread and was surprised there isn't a thread about it already, these fuckwits seem like prime lolcow material.
