Rioley did a good job scrubbing all mentions of his past. If people want to find his true identity, the best bet is to use either:

1. His educational background (UC Berkeley, anthropology, folklore and critical theory, undergrad/grad started in 2009, quit ABD, apparently used to teach there too).

2. His experience touring with a band (toured for ~5 years, played saxophone and guitar, mentioned being on stage opening for Little Richard in 2008 or so).

Hm, IDK the etiquette for this but I guess I'll try to dump what we've already figured out? Firstly this was joint between me, @Ronnie Rocket, @glass_houses, @Emperor Percival Tachyon, and @0 1.

Basic info:

He mentions it during the futa surgery cancellation rant https://twitter.com/RipleyStorm/status/1408384822628687875 I guess he could have have had hypospadias (urethra opens at the wrong place) which was surgically corrected. Or possibly a bifid scrotum.

Music/IT company:

Wrote music reviews for Maximum Ink
Did at least some touring with Ghosts of Wyoming.
Runs Rooks Tower, LLC (archive) which seems to maintain websites for various musicians, and edit books for musicians.

We initially found him from what he said about his coursework at UC Berkeley and that he had a dead sister named Alicia, haha. But a first name sure makes it easier.

His grandmother was born in Brooklyn in 1923 (and died in 2020). He could be referring to his great-grandmother, who immigrated from Sicily in 1919, but uhhh... she died in 1964.

Everything Brett says has a tiny nugget of truth, but it's wrapped in exaggeration and lies.

Edit: It's not the other maternal great-grandmother either. She immigrated in 1902 from Salerno at the age of fifteen and she died in 1938 of cirrhosis of the liver.

Edit 2: It's also not the paternal grandmother. Not an immigrant, not the child of immigrants. Born in 1919 and died in 1987.

Game story consultants. So many of those autistic fucks have weird ass masters. It's not a useless degree outside teaching, but it requires creative use. Still, it explains so very much.

I like her music, and she even made it on an Eminem song post-humously. Very talented lady, very sad that she had to die so young.

From what the amazing doxxing kiwis found out about Rioley, he was doing well in early life too, getting a degree and also doing a little work in the music scene. It seems like they had supportive and stable parents.
So what on earth happened to Rioley that scrambled his brain so badly?
