According to that, she was scared to lose her audience due to not meeting stream commitments (promised streams and collabs?). So she made the rash decision to rip her fingernail off as some kind of show of sincerity and dedication. She was suspended for a week and it's been longer than that but she has yet to return.

The majority of her audience seems to be Japanese antis who hate her for being part of Cookie☆. The remaining percent seems to be a minority of Japanese fans and saviorfags from /vt/ who only know about her because the antis' plan to get 4chan to hate her backfired completely. I'm interested to see what happens if/when she returns because she's crazy enough to rip a nail off on stream and her viewers are an unstable cocktail of vicious antis, saviorfags, and menheras.

Good summary of events from what I remember. A bunch of shit is muddled around this because of doctored screenshots and varying accounts from nearly everyone involved. I've even seen anons on /vt/ say that Carol is secretly not underage and lying about it because of her lolicon fantasies, however Zia fully believed she was really 13/16 when he was hitting her up, I don't know if there is hard proof of this though. I've also seen some schizo posts claiming there was a coordinated /wvt/ coverup of the whole thing and mentioning it anywhere will get you swarmed by anons from /trash/ trying to "correct" you with the approved narrative, but I highly doubt that's true.

One point of clarity is that Kongou, the guy who wrote the first expose doc, is a vtuber himself, not just a fan or friend of Carol.

If you don't know anything about /wvt/, it's a general for western indie vtubers that started on /trash/ and predates the /vt/ board existing by a couple months. The thread is mostly focused on a clique of vtubers that either post in the threads themselves, or are friends with the vtubers that post in the threads, so it's a big bubble of overlapping audiences. Kongou is one of the early ones to spring up, around the same time as Koopa, probably the most notable "4chan vtuber" other than Beatani.

I saw that, but I don’t follow how "I'm sorry" becomes "allow me to apologize by way of self-mutilation." I donno, I guess it's just a cultural thing. We all have our limits on how far we can take that line of thought, though, am I right? Maybe in Japan this doesn't come of as completely mentally ill somehow, I donno.

I don't know how mainstream it is when a casual weeb like me has never heard of it. But yes, older anime didn't have hang-ups about showing casual nudity of minors doing stuff like taking a bath, even in the glorified toy commercial shows. Whether that is "sexualization" is I guess pretty subjective on various things but sure, there will always be people who will fap to things that weren't intended to be fapped to. At any rate it's not something you see as often in more modern stuff, so I'd argue that at least by those standards, the sexualization of minors in anime has actually decreased over time if you don't count shows that are intended to be pornographic.

I remember this one appearing quite regularly, actually. She used to stream often as Mel Nekomata, decided she wanted to get away from the people who were making fart compilations out of her, so she at one point rebranded to Alice Ch, using a brand new model. At one point during this time, allegedly the hacker known as 4chan accessed her Twitter account and did what you'd expect. Allegedly her bank account was also compromised. People started threads about her on /vt/ discussing her and her situation.

She had since rebranded with another new Live2D model as Saki Kawasaki, and then changed back into Mel Nekomata. I can only imagine this is due to her accepting her fate that people who knew her previously will always recognize who she is, what she became known for, and follow her wherever she goes to tell the tale.

Personally I think the "hacked by 4chan, bank account compromised" ordeal was bullshit, when the threads were live there was the vibe that the OP of the threads was her. Of course since 4chan is Anonymous, there's no real way to tell, but this is what I prefer to believe. I also find it hard to believe her bank account was compromised considering during this whole series of events she effectively burned through 2 Live2D models and is now on her third. They are expensive for both the artwork and rigging, I can only imagine how much money she's blown on this.

Edit: This collection of what I have to assume is burps and farts was also posted in one of her threads. I know not what inspires people to do this.

I'll elaborate on the confusion with her age, which was one of the biggest points of contention ever since she started streaming. Up until the grooming drama, people took what she said about her age on stream at face value. Although most suspected she was lying they didn't really have much to go on. I did find it a little weird that an allegedly 16 year old Romanian girl had such a good grasp of English but I'm not Romanian so I wouldn't know if that's out of the ordinary or not. She did also speak like a Twitch zoomer all the time, so that would have checked out with being a teenager.

Kongou's document alleged that Carol was actually a 13 year old posing as a 16 year old. Zia's document argued that he was aware the whole time that she was an adult doing age fetish roleplay and the character Carol was 16. In a post made on /wvt/ made soon after Kongou's document dropped, an anon dug up some information using her Minecraft account. Unfortunately this poster didn't use archive.today but does have an image attached with some verifiable information:

Posters in the thread afterward began to speculate whether or not the YouTube account linked was a family member's account. I remember streams of hers would sometimes get interrupted by yelling from her mom and even end as a result. She asserted that her parents didn't speak English, which is why she could get away with all the pedo shit and being an obnoxious loud zoomer on stream. Carol was allegedly an only child and her interactions with her mom on stream were mostly yelling and arguing. If we assume this information to be true then I think it's unlikely it's a family member's account she's using and I find it unlikely a 3 year old has the capacity to make a YouTube account. So she's probably an indeterminate age above 13 but still possibly underage.

I went through their documents, responses, and threads when they came out and reviewed them again for this post and I am no closer to figuring out who is telling the truth here. My conclusions from all of this are that: Carol is a fucking psycho pedo pretending to be a 13 year old pretending to be a 16 year old, Kongou is a retard who repeatedly chooses to die on the hill of protecting said psycho pedo under the assumption she's an actual 13 year old, and Zia is a creepy faggot sex pest pursuing said psycho pedo under the belief she was roleplaying. No one in this situation is worth supporting.
