He doesn't want to be investigated for tax and bankruptcy fraud.

I personally feel like the reason he remains silent over these leaks is because he doesn't want more 'contributors' to know what their money is being spent on, rather than a tax investigation. If he doesn't mention the specific drama they are less likely to look into it, and if they look into it he probably thinks they won't want to keep feeding his habits.

Most of his whales will probably keep tipping regardless but some who are not so much in the loop would definitely be put off.

His bahttom line is definitely contributions from all his revenue streams, he knows that he's incredibly reliant on the generosity of certain viewers, disregarding that he may automatically feel entitled to a lot of it since he's been a pure up front content creator that hasn't been a shill yet (Once again when he says this sort of stuff, he's completely memoryholed all those paid reviews he did like for the certain controllers and sponsored streams like some Ubisoft games and a couple of other when he was forced to only say pahsitive things about those products and follow a script/guideline like a running advertisement).

I doubt he's seriously concerned about the fraud possibility, he truly seems to think he's come over that obstacle and ever since people were bashing him online about it for months on end, that ever since he's had that "victory" dah trolls have nothing really else they could do in regards to his bankruptcy anymore.

However he has overlooked some things about it, and as recent revelations have shown us, if he was going to get picked up about the fraud possibilities, then the cards are on the table, it just comes down to how they're played out from here.

I think he will need a pretty long streak of 'low support' streams before he gets desperate enough to announce anything regarding his leaked expenses. It will cause his paranoia to build to a boiling point where he will wonder "maybe support is low because people have seen the leaks". At which point he will go into damage control and address it without actually addressing it while playing the victim.

100% agree. He's far too lazy and unwilling to spend time or money on things like that until he absolutely has no choice.

And that's exactly why he is barely talking about it. He wants it to fizzle out ASAP so his tippers don't find out.

Oh I don't think he's himself is pursuing legal action. I think he's awaiting the call from someone who was maybe tipped off by a determined detractor. I condone that kinda gayop but you never know in the world of DSP.

With games like Pyschonauts 2 and Kena....they either require a good streamer, or a very selective audience.

Both of those games in my opinion aren't games that by themselves can support a stream.

I see big streamer talk about this all the time. How certain single player games are great, but don't end up being fun to watch.

They both could be fun to play but again with Phil at the controller they make me want to gouge my eyes out.

I would argue this goes for Judgement even more.

The Yakuza as well as the Judgement games are difficult to stream imo. You need couple of things to make this work.

You need insight/know about japanese culture to add meaningful comments to the game (which Dave doesn't have)
If this is not your cup of tea, you need to at least be able keep your audience entertained. Be it with jokes (which Dave sucks at) or entertaining gameplay skills/fights (which Dave also sucks at).

On a personal note from an Animefag: It also hurts his Judgement streams that he plays the game with english voices. Although the english voices are not too bad, japanese is the only right choice for this kind of game.
The japanese VA's have a talent for setting the mood of the scenes and deliver sad, serious and even funny lines the way it is meant to be. The english VA's try to emulate this style, but it often comes out as cringe, fake and over the top compared to the japanese.
