Definitely could tell it's fake and I think all interpreters can tell, the one that he mentioned positively is probably a troon or a handmaid or just someone who needs the gig and doesn't feel like going through a silent movie version of "IT'S MA'AM!".
What Neck is doing is what is at the core of all troon dogma, the irrational belief that whatever they do or say doesn't really count for them, because it is somehow cleansed and absolved by their troonery. But, it is etched in stone law for the rest, and literal violence if not meticulously obeyed.
Brian may be a tranny and a lot of the awful things that come with it, but I really think he is just a run of the mill loser dirtbag guy, who won't take responsibility for anything, including the fruit of his rachitic loins.
