General Discharge Under Honorable Conditions would be the way to go. Their service is deemed Honorable but they didn’t complete their full term of enlistment. With a General Under Honorable discharge a veteran is still eligible for most Veteran’s benefits as long as they’ve served for over 1 year. They’d lose GI Bill, though, because you have to serve your full term of enlistment to qualify for it.

China was always a way to make money first and foremost, ever since Nixon went to Beijing, but since Clinton the idea of being nice to China, trading with them, and turning a blind eye to shenanigans like their human rights, espionage, and blatant cheating in trade deals has been a key part of the globalist agenda. The goal is to make China a democracy, or at least let it be totally open to globalist influence. This is unacceptable to the CCP, since it means letting other people rule over China rather than their party bureaucracy. Xi Jinping is far more aggressive than previous Chinese rulers, in part because over 20 years of this Western policy toward China has let them build a country that can project real power globally and threaten the US, exactly as China's dreamed of since the Qing Dynasty realized they had to become like the West in an era where becoming like the West meant taking over the world.

I think a lot of it is because the Western oligarches realize the "Chinese democracy via globalism" mission is producing no results and because China is moving in on their turf. Bribing politicians in third world shitholes to approve some stupid mining/infrastructure deal is for whites and Jews, not chinks. On the political side, Trump's anti-CCP stance also polled well among both Republicans and Democrats and that's where you have even Beijing Biden making token anti-CCP statements and policies as well as things like a 2019 CCP-linked think tank report that named Governor Granny-Killer Cuomo (D-NY) as one of six American governors (and the only Democrat governor) deemed hostile to Chinese interests (I linked it in the Chinese Communist Party thread a few weeks ago if you're curious).
