This movie will do one good thing: it'll make that 1993 movie seem good by comparison. By the way, you know it's a subversive parody because fucking Keegan Michael-Key is playing Toad. The irony, Bob? You wanted this. Idiots like you begged for more Whedonesque dialogue in EVERYTHING. Not even fucking Toy Story was spared. I'm gonna laugh my ass off when he twists himself into ribbons trying to find the deep lore behind this Illumination movie obviously made for grade schoolers, because his entire identity is wrapped up in the idea the Mario series is some lost gem of clever storytelling.
Remember that this man gaslit himself into thinking the Bob Haskins Mario movie was an under-appreciated gem.

No matter how many breaks I take from reading this thread, this part never fails to make me laugh. How did Bob extrapolate a deep political thriller from a game that has you bop turtles on the head to return wands and rescue the princess?

Because like that autistic kid dreaming up the events of a hospital in a snowglobe, Bob spent hours sitting there rocking back and forth imagining all sorts of shit that Mario totally did. He literally after playing the game once would draw fanfiction comics about Mario as a kid.

He mentions his insane obsessions in Brick by Brick, which again shows you why I do genuinely think he's special needs on top of having a serious personality disorder.

I'll give him credit on this: he did actually make sure to keep the cast on for the maximum required time it'd take for a fracture like this to heal.

Though his lie of a needing a brace for a couple of extra weeks is him totally trying to milk light load duties, since the type of fracture he has usually heals a bit sooner than that.
