Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Oh, we are going to get -drama- if it fails. I said the conditions by which we will get a definitive answer, I never said we were unlikely to get one,.

We will almost certainly get one as the opening shot to chaos.

SPEAKING OF CHAOS!

Trending closer and closer to 50% with Blacks. If Biden hits that, it's going to get -fun- for future elections if Biden or Kamala are the candidates. You see, communities are self-reinforcing for voting patterns. The larger the group, the less this holds true, but the smaller the group the more it does. Hence why Minorities voting so strongly along the same lines is more prevalent than the white majority. You see this pattern continue in all countries with elections, regardless of the majority race.

If the black community hits 50% approval, it might -actually- begin a tailspin among those communities. The more that vote Republican or simply refuse to vote, the more who are likely to do the same in the next election, and the next, and the longer that continues the more that reinforcement kicks in. Yes, will still take years. But this has the potential to crunch that from 40 to 20, to the end of a generation, absolutely wiping away any potential gains through immigration as a bonus.

@There'll be another time (reply button not working) the test I would use to guess real accounts is the "who do I know who uses it". With Facebook I would say at least 80% of the people I know have an account I know of. Now given how ubiquitous the internet is nowadays but accounting for the fact some countries will have very low participation rates like China I don't think taking 80% of 75% of the worlds population having a facebook account is an unreasonable high ball guess. Given the earths population is 7.8 billion that gives about 4.6billion accounts (although many of these will be dead accounts or inactive).

If I were to refine my guess more I would account for the fact that I'm in my mid thirties so my acquaintance pool is lacking in the 75+ and 0-15 age ranges. This age range will be less likely to have a facebook account (i think). If I could be bothered I would look up global demographics for this age range and trim down 4.6 billion appropriately.

The question that needs asking is how many people do you know irl have a twitter account? I know none.

I don't think that chart is accurate.

Does it say that they polled 392 independents and 345 democrats? That seems like a very biased poll to me, although I do find the end result hilarious.

I would say that everyone that I know has an account to read Twitter more easily, but nobody I know actually Tweets. I think that's the vast number of Twitter users in my opinion.

It has always been utterly delightful how the dems "fortifying the election" has consistently and utterly bit them on the ass EVERY single day. To the point where I start thinking the whole party may end up being destroyed.

No, it's good. The total numbers are fine, for race/party-specific comparison they try to have roughly similar numbers to make it an apples-to-apples comparison.

If you have 500 democrats and 200 republicans, the sample sizes would be entirely different and thus incomparable. So when polling for something that specific you poll some extra of any missing categories to match the highest number so you can have a proper comparison. You do not add these to the total you work with for other data though, as those are your random sampling.

Short version: The numbers only look weird because it's a specific look rather than a general poll.

Looking back at it again I figured I had it wrong actually but Gehenna explains it well. It's a bit of a confusing poll, especially when the majority of the total surveyed are White but you're trying to figure out how much of the Latino population feels about Biden.

I kept telling people that Cuomo resigning was going to lead to worse things, but nobody listened to me.

Not that he did a better job, but its fucking New York... finding a suitable replacement on the fly was never on the table. This whole thing stunk of collusion from the inside.
Remember that she only got her house seat in 2011 because the reigning representative ALSO got caught in a sex scandal and then she lost reelection in 2012. She's only ever won primaries except for the 2011 special election.

I have a couple of friends that are nurses, and they tell me that one reason why nurses are refusing the vaccine is because they are so burned out that they are looking for a way out and then plan to sue for unemployment. Right now, if the nurses don't comply, it's considered a "voluntary" resignation, and some of them will be fighting that in court.

Add this to the ever-growing pile of political scandals just waiting to happen...

I had the same thoughts. Cuomo, for all his narcissism, is actually pretty moderate in terms of current year dem ideology. He would virtue signal from time to time but it was only a self preservation act. The reality is, he really wasn't that bad of a governor and NY will suffer tremendously now that some stupid bitch is in charge.

I would never wish harm on Biden or for him to even die of natural causes. I hope he lives to 100.

I do not wish harm on him, I merely acknowledge its likelihood. What I hope for is a lucid moment where he realizes what he has become and what he is being used for, and just resigns that day.
