Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

In 2020, I had a lot of wild dreams about Tulsi.

I also thought it would be awesome if Trump appointed her to a cabinet position when he won. Alas, just like her positions in my dreams, it wasn't meant to be. I'll keep dreaming about 2024 (and Tulsi Gabbard in lurid, I mean White House, positions).

The joke is that I want to have sex with Surf Mommy.

Hating a NY politician for being corrupt is like hating the sky for being blue. It's a given fact that any and I mean ANY person with anything resembling power in NY, especially NYC and especially especially the unions, has ties to the Mafia. This is not an exaggeration, Guiliani did a lot to put low level mooks in jail back in the day but the Mob has a stranglehold on so much of the background shit of NYC that he could never root out all of the rot. I'm talking about a place where an outside contractor won a bid on the chance to repaint three subway stations...and then his body was found in the Hudson River. A place where 90% of the Sanitation Department is staffed by ex-felons, and the other 10% were put in place because they were smart enough to not get caught. Upstate, you have the "Corporation of the City of Yonkers," where an unwanted mall (Ridge Hill) was built in spite of petitions, protests, and two of the city council members who approved the project getting bagged for fraud and bribery as the mall was still being built. Cuomo was a slimy motherfucker who renamed the Tappan Zee Bridge after his equally slimy dad, who was also a deeply corrupt motherfucker, and then it took them like 6 years to actually build the new bridge. And that's just the area around NYC!

Further upstate is no better, it just gets less attention paid to it because NYC is so huge it draws all the attention. The old joke is that Albany, the capitol, has the largest collection of psychopaths, perverts, and retards in the state, and also a huge mental hospital. NY legislature is a joke on every level, and has been since the state's formation.

Off topic: 1776 was a really good play and honestly had a lot of thought provoking moments in a play that was meant to be kind of light hearted and comedic. Also had an interesting song that poked fun at conservatism from 18th century and was removed during the Nixon era https://youtu.be/LxaAw2viEIQ

IIRC, companies do have a responsibility to their shareholders maximize profits when possible. So I suppose there could be an argument to be made as to whether they’re liable for Joe Redneck turning on Tucker Carlson and finding his favorite soda company telling their employees to be less white.

And this is why people are sick of progressives! You isolate rational people with your radical BULLSHIT!

Wasn't there just an announcement by Disney that they are closing down all their retail stores? Probably some crazy consoomer bitch unhappy with their decision.
It wouldn't surprise me if they kept a Times Square location, since that area receives so much foot traffic. The lease would still be outrageous though, so who knows if it's really worth it when it comes to the bottom line.

They are not coming to take your guns... -that- directly. Leaving aside the fact it would be challenged and SCOTUS is increasingly hostile, and that'd affect every state so good luck -not- having SCOTUS have to take it up due to conflicting rulings. The precedent is so painfully clear here it would fail basically immediatly.
Could the government just make selling ammo to civilians illegal? is that against the yank constitution? like "you can keep your gun but good luck getting any bullets for it"

I used to at least respect the progressives' grift before all this, but now with AOC's crocodile tears and this exposing their complete lack of any subtlety or actual power the first time their usual grandstanding won't cut it and they encounter a real political challenge,...and all I can think of them now is this clip:

It also proves that when things don't go their way, they'll throw tantrums. You cannot run a country like that.

Cruz should have at least moved to censure her. That was insane.
I honestly wonder if she thinks that acting this way is making her family proud. Imagine your little cousin is the youngest person elected to Congress at the time and you turn on the television and see her flopping around like a fish as she accuses police officers and Senators of trying to hurt her.

It's ridiculous and I hope she's ashamed of herself somewhere in that little peanut head.

Twitter is a minority of a minority, an absolutely minuscule sample of the population pulling almost exclusively from the far left of the Overton window. It is so unrepresentative that my firm actually has a ban on having Twitter accounts for any business purpose.
David Cameron's quote of "Britain and Twitter are not the same thing" when asked why the 2015 election polls and experts got the election so wrong still rings true to this day, especially regarding the US. If Twitter was representative of anything, Trump would never have sat in office. It is a noise box for shitty opinions that should not be taken seriously on anything electoral.

1776 has a lot of gems. "I have come to the conclusion that one useless man is called a disgrace, that two are called a law firm, and that three or more become a Congress!"

It's bizarre that people take whatever hot take is trending on Twitter as the entire public's opinion when it comes to politics. It's a website with openly partisan owners and staff that actively silence the political opinions of those they don't agree with, promote literal propaganda without any evidence backing it, and then force that propaganda onto everyone's page regardless whether they're there for politics or porn.

It's a case study on echo chambers yet people treat it like it's a grand forum of diverse thought.

Undoubtably, made most evident with them deciding to nuke a former president once he stepped down from their platform because of nonsense that they didn't like.

The irony of the Cameron quote is that not a year later after he said it, he bought into the polls and twitter nonsense regarding Brexit, and lost that referendum. Did give him a convenient excuse to step down and move into the private sector however, while still having an influence over the party for a time.

So is this part of the the dems civil war thing or Omar is just doing it for twitter theatrics, because at this point I just can't tell and have to wonder when the other Dems will have enough and start to push back.
if all of this has taught me anything about the progressives, it is that above all they are grifters first and care only about their own asses, so twitter theatrics definitely. they don't give a shit about being the head of any civil war, no matter how much the people on the far left, that I've known for a while now, buy into their grandstanding hook, line and sinker. if a civil war does come, these whiny parasites will be the FIRST to disappear like a fart in the wind or at least lay low (because the smart ones within them know damn well they can't do anything else competently in a civil war, other than maybe devolve into the equivalent of a town crier), while those very same 'conservative democrats' they seethe about right now will be far more likely to actually stand and lead decently enough.
