Yes, and the massive spergout in response too. The EN indie hugbox blows this shit out of proportion every time, some nobody that no one has ever heard of posts a retarded Twitlonger and now nearly every indie VTuber I follow is boosting his post and posting selfies to dunk on this guy, while patting themselves on the back for reassurance.

Honestly, the guy's a fucking basket case thinking way too hard about one of the nerdiest hobbies you could possibly have. But, his rant is ultimately harmless, and whether the hugbox likes it or not, the most popular VTubers don't break kayfabe (minus kson, which is an exception and not the rule.)

As an aside, people trend towards being polite and dishonest in the EN indie scene from what i've witnessed, as they've been conditioned to by the streamers. It's not at all uncommon for a streamer to have a big cry on stream because, for example, someone disliked their new model. This results in chat awkwardly reassuring the person that's supposed to be entertaining them, and holding in their opinions even if the model blatantly sucks shit. So, it's kind of refreshing to see what someone really thinks, even if they're being retarded.

Pippa is right to distrust EN VTuber Twitter. They tell sweet lies.

I am, actually: I just love the JP-EN interaction, especially with a certain level of language barrier (not too much, not too little). But it doesn't have to be those specific members or an "official" group of any kind, especially the forced song which didn't turn out so great, so that doesn't really detract from your point.

Although I do love how much Marine fawns over Gura and Ina. In fact, Gura just mentioned on-stream that Marine keeps sending her songs she thinks Gura would like to sing, including the Portal and Portal 2 ending songs, so that's pretty cute.

I can't stay up another 1 hour 20 mins for the hamster's unarchived karaoke because it'll fuck up my already shit sleeping pattern, but I also don't want to rely on clips to see my oshi at work. Hopefully somebody archives it where I don't need to download, since I'm not comfortable doing that. Can you elaborate on how you're uncomfortable downloading it? Like are you uncomfortable with torrents but would be fine with a Mega link, or something?

I had assumed the endurance minecraft stream would pop back up once Bae had woken up, but she just started her unarchived karaoke and it's still not back, so I have no idea now. I won't be watching it so if one of y'all do and she mentions the poofed stream, let us know.

Yeah, she said she "accidentally showed some stuff during the maintenance screen" as the reason it's privated, and as the other guy just said, she can't blur or trim it on Youtube because it's too long.
I'm guessing they might have to have someone download it, edit it offline, and reupload it as a video. The question is whether they'll bother or not, but I think that stream was too good to lose.

How come people that both Holo and Niji hire for global songs seem this dogshit at lyrics and such? Black Out wasn't at that level, sure, but it's still basically gibberish with unnecessary minimal Japanese shoved in. No idea what sort of storytelling Ryushen did because that didn't really make any sense either. Is this all a matter of like, boomer business japs going "hey kids these days like the word poggers, free money if we use it", or "Let's just randomly add in Japanese words for no reason, we use English loan words nonstop and everyone here thinks they're cool, so it totally won't sound out of place to do the opposite"?

I can gleam from BlackOut the story of people who are malicious/disturbed in nature who have fallen for the listener and are trying to express their twisted form of love.

• Rosemi's part is likening her affection to a potion/drug, and describes her want for the listener to allow it to bloom within them.
• Petra likens her affection to sinking in the ocean, drowning out all sounds and sights except those that she offers.
• Selen doesn't get a verse of her own, but responds to the feeling of love by wanting to lock the listener away and keep an eye on them, followed by 'I want you to teach me about romance, are you even listening senpai?' which is pretty inline with a Yandere trope.

The chorus 'I'll cast a spell, can't delete me' expands upon this by showing that they want their love to be parasitic/malignant in nature. The final line is 'You can't escape because you 'love' me, right?'

So the story kind of encapsulates this idea of a toxic, suffocating relationship, as if they are Yanderes trying to figure out how to approach the protagonist but only able to express themselves in malicious ways.

Now certainly, likes like 'Watch out, I'll be shining like a mirror!' are not great lines at all, and it's riddled with grammatical errors ('Till the silence covers up the noises out'), but I wouldn't extend it to being totally incoherent. There is definitely something there.

I always thought it was pretty obvious that it was something that the company wanted to do as a character quirk.

Yeah I watched some unarchived karaoke streams a couple months back because of a Marine clip where she was gushing about it and it really was as impressive as she was making it out to be. I just couldn't stand her as a streamer in the handful of streams I watched a long time ago. Couldn't tell you why - I think it's something about her speaking voice. Apparently people love her voice but even after warming up to her sense of humor, I have something autistic in my head that gets filtered by the way she speaks/her style of commentary. (it's probably autism).

Different strokes for different folks, but you can mix it up sometimes

Bunny Man is pretty much the perfect choice for "we'll-fuck-around-while-we-basically-just-do-a-zatsudan" stream.

EDIT: You can really tell that Ina and Sana are old friends by the way they're just naturally messing around and trash-talking each other in this stream. Ina's also being more verbose and silly than usual. Such a natural, wholesome pairing.
