What's the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?

When the teacher was talking about sex ed and he said 'sex is one of the basic human needs', and I was the only one who laughed.
I thought "sex is a basic human need" was only something incels believed (so that they can claim they're legally "entitled" to sex, consent be damned).

Thankfully as far as the law or anything in the real world is concerned, it's not - the only legal addressing of said issue is how the 14th Amendment was interpreted to say that there is a "right" to enter into a marriage without discrimination, but of course that's only if both partners willfully consent to it; there is nothing legally at all asserting that "sex is a right".

he said basic needs, not legal rights. it just means that you need it to maintain your physical and mental health.

I've never heard of a person dying from "lack of sex" - people can live for years without it and at most just be cranky and irritable, in comparison people will die in a fairly short time without food, water, or air to breathe. So it's not remotely comparable, which is why no one in the real world acknowledges "sex" as a right, and why the incel dream of the government forcing hookers to have sex with them will never happen.

(For that matter, even in the animal kingdom, there are animals which have the ability to mate but don't under certain circumstances, so this "hierarchy of needs" and some of the outdated axioms and psychology that it's likely based on to begin with needs some re-adjustment). I'm sure that incels love shit like this though, because it validates their worthless existence and self-reinforced misery over not having a legal entitlement to bang women who aren't interested in them.

(Plus in reality sex and relationships are more than just about "meeting physical needs", but are about emotional and mental needs as well - if all they wanted to do was "meet physical needs", then they could just spend their time wacking off since the physical body still achieves orgasm and can't tell the difference between a pussy and a right hand. Just like how when people go to a fancy restaurant, it isn't just about "eating food" but the whole experience and the different things it means to them; if it was just about "the food" then they could just stay at home and eat canned goods for a lot cheaper).

Sex is a cope

A few throughout my life stand out.

friend in elementary school and I were play fighting, he socked me in the gut and made me rip out the fart I had been holding in

my goth phase in high school. I dressed like If Lestat had a dorky kid brother

my (thankfully short lived) smug atheist phase in college
