US Al Sharpton's border trip descends into farce as he is heckled during 150-second speech - 🏀 Race-baiter tries to race-bait and gets told "Nobody wants your racism in Del Rio" instead

DEL RIO , Texas — Rev. Al Sharpton was shouted down by protesters while attempting to speak about U.S. Border Patrol's treatment of Haitian migrants and an incident involving its horse patrol unit.

The civil rights advocate was forced to leave the podium at an outdoor press conference in Del Rio Thursday afternoon after speaking for just two minutes and 30 seconds at the podium.

"We went for an hour and toured the place that we feel is a real catastrophic and human disgrace as people around this world watch the Border Patrol use slave-like techniques — mounted on horses. It compelled us to come and show our voices and our presence," Sharpton said, fighting to speak over at least two male protesters in the crowd who attempted to drown him out.

"How much money are you making? Why are you here advocating for violence? Del Rio is not a racist city. Del Rio is a loving, caring community," the men yelled. "We don’t want your racism in Texas. Get out of here. You’re a disgrace. You’re a racist. Nobody wants you in Texas. Nobody wants you in Texas."

Sharpton continued with his remarks, though he did not reveal what he had learned during the hour-long tour of the migrant camp, where fewer than 4,000 migrants remained as of Thursday morning compared to 15,000 on Saturday.

"The Trump supporters and the right-wingers can scream all they want," said Sharpton. "We gon’ continue to come back. We gon’ stand with our people to make sure that [unintelligble] is treated in one way and one manner. And we intend to come back over and over again. For people to be treated like this in an inhumane way, for people to feel that they can use weaponization of horses to treat human beings..."

Sharpton vowed to "keep coming back as long as is necessary" and called for Border Patrol's horse patrol unit to be investigated.

"This is a loving community," the protesters continued. "Get out of Texas. Get out of Texas. You are wrong. You are wrong. The Border Patrol are heroes."

Earlier this week, a Border Patrol agent on horseback was photographed and filmed by the riverbank, just hundreds of feet from the Del Rio-Ciudad Acuna International Bridge, in what looked like an altercation with a Haitian man. The agent was accused of using a whip to injure the man, as well as grabbing the man, though it is not clear why.

Border Patrol agents assigned to horses are not issued whips but do have extra-long reins because of the thick brush horses must ride through, which can get tangled in branches and jerk a horse's head back.

There's graft at every level of Haitian society. Odds are, most of that $4 billion that actually reached Haiti (vs. being stolen by NGOs) went in a few Haitians' pockets. Haiti is such a basketcase, it's not even good for the kind of sweatshops Bangladesh is known for.

I'm morbidly curious what would happen to the country if U.S. aid suddenly stopped.

Old school civil rights leaders seemed to start out actually giving a shit but were corrupted over time. (Charles Rangel and Jim Clyburn come to mind of those who are merely greedy and aren't necessarily trying to start a race war.)

The current crop of "leaders" are only in it for the grift. Their activism is a hundred percent cynical, and I'll bet much of the black community recognizes it, at least to the point of seeing Cullors et al as useful idiots, not anyone leading a movement.
Didn't one of the guys in the Black-eyed Peas try running for governor of Haiti and was kicked out when it was discovered he was lining his own pockets as well?

Share your popcorn?

Googling the Clinton Foundation and Haiti brings up some really interesting things, like prior neolib efforts to use them like Bangladeshi factory workers to make cheap t-shirts and shit like that. But I also wonder if there's part of the problem there that they're having in Africa, where it's a sewer vortex of unskilled labor, utter lack of resources, and gibs keeping the markets hinky. And to elaborate on that last, if it costs $5 to grow 20 lbs of rice and we're giving them bags of rice for free, there's zero incentive to grow rice. Not that they could grow shit there.

I should have been an economist. :(

I think the US should pay to round them up and dart them to cut the birth rate. Haiti is the Tenacious Unicorn Ranch of the western hemisphere.
Infrastructure is a joke there. Many of the roads are nearly impassable, and the power goes out all the time. To do business there, you would need to provide that infrastructure yourself, and you'd have to bring foreigners in to actually build the factory, because, if you use local contractors, most of your money and materials will disappear.

That 85 percent of Haitians only speak Creole (despite sharing the island with a Spanish-speaking country, having historical ties to France, and basically being a patron state of the U.S.) is a testament to what kind of education most Haitians get. Most are likely insufficiently educated to sew t-shirts.

It was Wyclef Jean of the Fugees. It's kind of hilarious that getting rich from making music and living in a dirt cheap country wasn't enough to keep his hands out of the cookie jar.

Isn't most of that from Papa Doc and Baby Doc Duvalier (sp)?
I've seen people blaming the economic problems of Haiti on the US, but I thought those two were the ones that ruined the country.

B-based beaners?
Not really based, but they just hate blacks, and the attempts of black grifters to make everything about blacks. There's a reason the Left is trying to tie every race to the anchor that is black grievance through social justice theory, and its because 13% of the population can't do shit on its own.

According to the CIA, they have a 60% literacy rate. And I'm sure that's generous.

I could come up with a hundred beginning places for where to start (re)building their country, but none of it would ever happen because friends of the Clintons wouldn't get their slice of the cheese and there's such a lack of existing infrastructure.

Adopting English, Spanish, or actual French as the language would help. Haitian Creole is the BBC Pidgin of languages. No great literature, poetry, plays, etc. in your language, even if from another country, has to hurt. And I'm of the mind that having a bigger vocabulary makes you smarter and not the other way around.

But real talk, having half as many people would help.

They didn't help. Papa Doc ruled with an iron fist but the country was somewhat successful during his rule. Baby Doc basically undid all of it by being several magnitudes more corrupt than Papa. But Haiti's problems are multifaceted and can be blamed on pretty much every leader throughout their history.

I've always wondered how things would have turned out if the Haitian Revolution never happened and the French kept their pimp hand strong on their nigger charges.

Maybe the U.S. wouldn't have been so freaked out over the concept of a slave revolt happening so close to home.
Maybe Haiti slowly works its way towards Bahamas or Jamaica levels of stability and wealth.
Or maybe the French still find a way to fuck things up.

It's all rainbows up in this bitch, but seriously, bringing slaves over from Africa was probably the biggest mistake any nation could have made. The Africans were in Africa for a reason. Maybe we should have kept them there.

Deal Rio is 81% Hispanic, they’re not interested in being flooded by Haitians and they have no reason to care about black people.
Yep, if there's one good thing about hispanics flooding the country over the past few decades it's the hilarious inevitability of the black race card eventually being put out of service.
How the fuck does Al Sharpton still look like a crackhead when we know he hasn't done crack
Being evil is arguably as bad for your health and physical appearance as hard drugs - take a look at Soros for instance.

France have a habit of fucking losing control over their colonies, look at Algeria and Vietnam also. Hell they made a great movie known as "Battle of Algiers" about their own fuckups.

Unlike the British who learn from their mistakes, they are probably the most retarded country when it comes to losing manpower cheaply after the Russians in Europe. They were relying on their colony soldiers to save them in WW2 as well as fighting for them.

This. Never underestimate the French's ability to take a delicate situation and make it infinitely worse.
The most astounding part is that the French consistently refuse to be humbled, no matter how many times their pride has led the way to a fall. They're the lolcow of nations, except they've somehow managed to be one of the most successful nations in Europe.
