Inactive Andrew Dobson / Tom Preston / CattyN - STOP DOING SEXIST CRAP

Dobson might have been less of a lolcow and more of a schadenfreudecow.

He acted like a vicious, toxic asshat cause he had a large fanbase that would prop him up. People warned him his lackluster art, his shitty attitude and his lack of gratitude towards his fans would be his undoing. It was fun watching him getting into dumber and dumber situations by running his mouth. His blogposts made for an endless supply of cringey bullshit, where even when he described a biased version of events, he'd still come across as incredibly toxic and terrible.

It was outright cathartic to watch his status as an artist slip further and further and see him slip into the kind of obscurity that people had warned him about for a decade.

Dobson is kind of a "you had to be there from the beginning" lolcow I guess, cause none of his misadventures of the past 5 years really mean that much when you don't experience it as the "told you so" stage in his art career and life after his fame days were over.

I've been lurking for a while around this thread.
Dobson is/was a good entry-level lolcow. Fairly easy to laugh at without the darker/creepier level stuff the bigger name locked get into. His main draw was just how satisfying it was when his condescending ego got its shit slapped in, because Dobson was really really good and infuriating people, because he’d constantly talk down at anyone, think he was better and smarter than everyone, and say the clearly dumbest, wrong crap every and act like it was the god-hones truth.

I've been lurking for quite a few years around this thread and Dobson was my introduction to this whole lolcow thing. What I find most fascinating about this guy is that virtually every aspiring artist I've met, sooner or later goes through a phase of "fuck-you-i-know-better-I'm-an-ARTIST"...and then grow out of it. But not Dobson; this motherfucker somehow manages to insist on childish and pedantic behaviour for years and years, despite being shown countless times how much of an asshole he is/was and despite the opportunities he had....again, fascinating.

Edit: spelling.

The problem with confirming any of these is the distinct possibility that he's given up drawing. His art was his big selling point; without that, he was a basic bitch leftist who parroted the party line, impossible to tell from other basic bitch leftists on the internet. Nobody's tracked him down simply because he's not worth it. Without his art, he's the embodiment of the NPC meme
Has anyone considered the possibility of him returning to inflation art?

Another Impossible fate for Dobby: A nigger tried to break/broke into his house during the riots, and caused Dobby to despise them even more but knowing that he can't whine about it online as everyone would turn on him, drove him insane and he is now in a mental institution

Unlikely. He’s constantly complained about how inflation was ruined for him by the trolls. Plus, the last big thing that happened right before he quit was full proof of Dobson pretending to be a teenage lesbian popping up.

This could be assissted greatly by making a blog, much like the one from SPH, that goes over Dobson's life, his "career" (for lack of a better term), how he refused to listen to advice, how toxic he was towards honest friendly and well-intentioned criticism and how ungrateful he was towards his fans.

I think making a blog like that to inspire young artists to not fall for the same traps would be really neat. In order to avoid the HURR HATEBLOG, it should treat him anonymously.

Dobson is already anonymous. Has been his whole life.

Anyway, I don't think he's gone back to the fetish art. Remember, it's still art, and Dobson hates making art. Or in his case, "art." It's work, and that's a thing Dobby wants nothing to do with. I still suspect he wasn't all that into the fetish stuff anyway. Maybe a bit, but not fully. I think his CattyN days are simply one of the earliest known examples of his bandwagon-hopping for attention. He thought he'd be a big wheel in that community, and pretended to be an underage girl because he thought that would stand out. And underage lesbians (and seeing/casting himself as one), is probably the guys real fetish.

I don't really thinks he hates making art, per se...or at least i don't think that has always been the case. I'm sure this has been analysed ad nauseam, but It seems to me that ultimately the guy just craves for attention/admiration; he wants to be seen as a kind of thought leader, I guess...he just wants power, really. He probably thought that his art was a good enough vehicle to achieve that, to become a somebody in a particular sphere (call it fetish art, comic strips or whatever...) and it failed miserably, due to sheer incompetence and lack of self awareness.
And that's what is so sad about it...probably the guy enjoyed drawing, and it would have been utterly and completely fine for him to draw comic strips as a hobby while having a run of the mill job; and he'd be waaaaay happier and likeable as a human being.

I doubt that. He had a job working at an airport during his SYAC days. He was a toxic asshole even then (he allegedly threw a chair at a coworker for spoiling a Harry Potter book.)

Given his fetish for lesbians, precedent for pretending to be a woman online, and general SJW spergery, he may well return as the true and honest woman "Andrea Dobson".
He won't transition. Not unless someone pressures him into it. Dobbles, even during his height, was a follower, not a leader or trendsetter (except maybe to teenagers who didn't know better.) He'd never post about a subject until he saw what the popular leftist take was, and then he'd simply parrot that.

There is something kinda similar to that here.

It’s not focused entirely on Dobson though. More lesson that can be learned from him.

I don't think he necessarily enjoyed drawing. But I don't think he necessarily hated it either. You hit the nail on the head when you said that what he really wants is power, clout and praise. All his hobbies and activities at the end of the day are just vehicles for him to obtain those things.

What Dobson hates is having to put in the work in order to receive those things. He just wants to receive them with a bare minimum output from himself.

I don’t think so. If he had any kind of business acumen (which he doesn’t), he would have just leaned into the fetish. He would never have gotten famous from it, but if he was prolific enough, he could have made a decent living wage catering to that one nasty niche. Sorry if this is powerleveling, but a friend of a friend cleans up selling art to furries at conventions.

As much he lusts after teen lesbians bumping pussies, actual gay and trans people make him incredibly uncomfortable. He also is too into being the “one good guy” to pretend to be a lady.
