It's rare because most of the people doing nasal flushes know not to use room temperature tap water- they're accustomed to neti pots, or have sterile saline given to them by a doctor and proper usage explained to them.
It's rare because it's a truly uncommon thing for people to even be doing, let alone people who need horse medication dosages "explained at a kindergarten level".
I'm not really worried about it, necessarily, I'm more just looking forward to the handful of new cases we get for the clinical research.

You’re giving this too much thought. Literally anything they don’t like or think of as oppressive or inconvenient is “communism,” it doesn’t necessarily involve something being provided by the government.
I can guarantee this bitch would be showing up at an ER asking for Tamiflu if she did actually have the flu. And if she got covid she’d be at that same ER begging for oxygen and an antibody infusion and literally any intervention she could think of. None of these people are stoically lying at home when they get sick. It’s only other people they think should do that.

It is absurd that a vaccine has become a politically charged hill to die on. Part of me wishes that these people understood what a patient in ICU with COVID looks like. Prone, vented, paralyzed with vecc/nimbex, and eventually coded face down. By that point none of them make it unless they get ECMO, and even then chances are slim. Their lungs are so non-compliant and their x-rays are horrid. They require such high PEEP towards the end that many end up with pneumos and PEs from the outlandish vent settings required to ventilate them. If not they usually suffer massive strokes despite intense DVT prophylaxis.
On the other hand, I envy that these idiots are blissfully unaware. Sometimes I wish I could go back and forget all of these experiences working during COVID. It's honestly just flat out sad that these people are so ignorant.
People will be maxed out on high-flow or BIPAP while circling the drain and still listening or watching anti-vax shit on the TV. Some ardently deny that they even have COVID and truly believe we are making up the test results. When it comes time to tube them they beg for the vaccine and say that if it really worked it would cure them. The families just don't get it and ask when their intubated family member will be discharged after they have seen them lay there for weeks on their video calls.
I have to say I am not a fan of the schadenfreude that le redditors on HermanCainAward have. I find it really distasteful to mock the dead even though they were fucking idiots.

There's an argument for not mocking the dead, but I've never personally bought it; A dead idiot doesn't have their actions or the fallout from those actions erased when they die. I guess I can somewhat understand why, but at the same time, the award winners worked really hard to get themselves killed.
