Undertale

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
opinion on [hyperlink blocked] being "choices"? Saw a speculation of this and it fits grammatically in Spamton's sentences and matches the character creation narrator's line "No one gets to choose who they are in this world." in addition to the puppet themes.
I think it could mean multiple words. "Choices" is a good candidate, but I'd like to throw in any words that are to do with free will as well. They seem to pop up as [hyperlink blocked], but when he becomes NEO [hyperlink blocked] pretty much vanishes from his dialogue and he uses words like "freedom" quite a bit.

My interpretation of the line is that, while the routes are different, you'll ended up in the same ending anyways.

The chapter 2 itself even did this. The path you take is now gives its interpretation. The pacifist path gives you split personality / schizo / possesed / Gaster's puppet Kris, while genocide path gives you the "he's evil the whole time" Kris. Again, you'll ended up with the same ending, albeit with different interactions before that.

"Hyperlink Blocked" thing are likely be the plot point that will make sense in future chapters.

Are the eggs people? is this a black lodge creamed corn thing? Spamton says hes a "man of the [pipis]" , " a real [pipis] person". The obvious insert being people. You can literally eat the pipis to heal and eggs don't transform into other objects when leaving the dark world.

I'm on board with the idea that kris is evil given his past repuation as detailed from npc exposition - and the player forcing him to be good or helping him be evil. Maybe it has something to do with the bunker incident.
I think it's multiple things frankly. Spamton hints at knowing multiple higher concepts that Jevil doesn't even mention, particularly LOVE and DETERMINATION. These are concepts that are basically gone from DR lore all together, along with the facts of mister physiology and magic

Probably the best part of Deltarune so far; The secret bosses have their own vague, yet offputting secrets to tell.

What Jevil knows broke him, and now he's just a massively powerful chaotic mess who mindlessly enjoys the rampant pain and suffering of basically anything, including himself. But it makes him happy for some reason, and he doesn't seem to keen on sharing why.

Meanwhile, Spamtom is outright FURIOUS at the cards he's dealt with. The fact that he's specifically mad at Kris and these unknown players that seem to work behind the scenes suggests that whatever knowledge he picked up on, unlike Jevil, caused him to become a bloodthirsty, bitter psycho.

If we follow the trend, we could be exploring a "The truth drives you insane" type scenario with each of the secret bosses reveling in a different type of mania that really comes into play during their boss fights, and that's exciting because these secret bosses are ALWAYS the most engaging parts of the gameplay.

If the next secret boss has anything to do with the suspicious "Omega Flowey"-esque grins that people have been discovering all over chapter 2, I'm going to get extremely giddy. I seriously wonder what's coming next and it's a rare feeling I don't get from video games anymore.

I don't think anything will happen concerning Flowey until there is either a dark world in Asgore's flower shop or the final chapters of the game. He's too important and knowledgeable of the previous game to not be a big meta bomb.

These games get more and more reddit tier with every release. But at least you can go full edgelord and kill everyone if you feel like it. still feel kinda bad about it.
We were basically in the Internet. Did you not expect at least one character to be a Reddit tier shitposter?

I think a decent amount of people that treat him like Falco do know that it’s meant to be more of a Saiyan get-up since he has the huge shoulder pads and his battle flavourtext even has a line something akin to “Berdly crushed his power scouted in anger.”

I’d say Toby probably took influence from both sources though.
Since Beardly even makes sly references to Smash Bros (I think he says something about wavedashing) I just took it that the Dark World is just this grand fantasy zone where you become the characters you dream as. Kinda like Yakuza 7 how the lead imagines himself as a Dragon Quest hero).

Beardly is an avid gamer & nerd so the world turns him into Falco/Saiyan. Ralsei sees himself as a Mage. Susie is a warrior etc.

DON'T YOU JUST LOOOOVE [[Hyperlink Blocked]]?

A random bit, but…everyone’s reactions to drinking the different teas.

There been some theories about how the amount of health recovered either depends on the person's opinion or the relationship of the person the tea is based on.

So, maybe that can be extended to the taste of the tea? Especially, Kris's tea for Noelle since she has made it known that her friendship with Kris is complicated.
