The Australian totalitarian megathread - She won't be right mate.

Anyone tried the pay a junkie money or someone wanting the vaccine but unable to take the jab under your name method yet? Work is returning to the office soon and require the vaccine, so I'm assuming if we don't find a way to navigate this bullshit myself and many others will be out of a job. (Guess that works out for them then right? They wanted to ban the unvaxed from participating in the economy.)

At least in NSW its announced no different restrictions will apply for vaxxed v unvaxxed from Dec 1 onwards. The unvaxxed get 6 more weeks in the sin bin for not being Team Players as vaxxed will have restrictions eased earlier but let's ee them enforce that.

Also there's a court case in the NSW supreme court stating Thurs as to the extent to which any of the health orders are legal.

Not seeing any hope for our Victorian friends however, Gladys showing up Dandrews will cause him even more rage which like all bullies he will take out on those helpless to defy him.

Outside of pubs, gay pride sporting events and maybe seeing a GP or specialist, I don't see how they can stop the unvaxxed going outside prior to Dec 1st. ATM, it can be difficult to visit friends/family because so many cunts are calling crimestoppers to report neighbours who get visitors. I can't find it now but I read a news article claiming crimestoppers were taking something like 5,000 calls a day from the public. After Oct 11th, it should simmer down and no-one has reason to doubt my claims of being vaccinated when visiting friends/family after that. I'm sure they'll bust some but as long as you're not trying to get into said gay pride sporting events, I'm not too worried ignoring this shit (going interstate or overseas is a different story).

Depending on where you work, a strongly worded letter might work to dissuade them. Make it clear that you do not view their instruction as being a fair or reasonable direction (who am I protecting when vaxxed people can spread?), say they haven't adequately offered any reasonable alternative accomodations, say that you have a legal right not to share your immunisation status under the immunisation register act and that they are potentially discriminating against you based on fear of a future infection which is a violation of the anti-discrimination act. Depending on how much you value your job might be worth throwing a couple hundred at a lawyer to draft a letter for you but those are the broad beats. Most companies are doing this because they think its the easy path and will reconsider if they hit real ramifications.

Note if they sack you for discriminatory reasons they're on the hook to pay you punitive damages.

Meanwhile in Qld, no cases in, I've forgotten how long, but we are all still wearing mandatory masks. People are driving around IN THEIR CARS wearing masks. An old dude across the road from me MOWED his lawn the other day wearing his mask...

Most of the politicians love having control over the populace. They won’t ever give it up willingly. These were the same losers that got shoved into lockers in high school by jocks now they finally get their ability to push people around.

As much as I'd love to go down that avenue to stick it to the man, I work for a relatively small company who are pretty good just run by scared boomers trying to do the right thing also the job just isn't worth all of that, might be time to just start looking into permanent work from home opportunities or just ride it out and see how things go with the supreme court.

6 weeks. I can do that blindfolded and drunk. Especially since I live in a small town and the boss is half-convinced this is all just a big depopulation scheme by Soros and his ilk. I'm betting the checks for vax vs un-vaxxed are going to easy as shit to get around just like these QR codes are anyway. Apathy will set in after a week or two, and you'll just be able to stroll in and lie to their face about it. Smile and be pleasant and they'll let you get away with anything.

Go fuck yourself Gladys, I'm never getting the needle. Take your spike and shove it in your eye. When the sheep bow and the vaccinated rate reaches 99.99%, I'm going to relish the fact that I'm that last stubborn 0.01 keeping you from your perfect record.

Actually, mad dog mark Latham has also been chasing this angle down. Federal law explicitly states you cannot be required to share your immunisation register info:

Something has for sure changed. A couple of days ago show us your papers and booster shots was going to be the new normal forever. Now a 6 week window where the mud bloods get to go to the pub and the pure bloods don't? I think the legal advice is they'd lose if it went to the high court and best not to risk the whole health emergency infrastructure they've built for the sake of a Covid ID that they don't have the IT expertise to make work anyway. Reminder the Victorian government nearly collapsed at one point because they spent billions trying to get a train ticketing system to work. No I'm not kidding.

Dan looked very down at his presser today poor fella. He'll have no choice but to bin the whole Covid thing soon. It was a nice run while it lasted.

You can even see this in the media. Wall to wall Covid is being broken up with muh climate change. Interviews with Greta and a demonstration (and I shit you not) of a couple of dozen danger hairs and soy boys in London led the ABC Melbourne news yesterday.

Meanwhile the rest of QLD outside of the SE corner are living as if the virus doesn't exist, same for rest of Australia that isn't Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.

So far unvaxed, have never worn a mask and think I've had about 2 weeks of lockdown in the past 18 months, with summer coming up I think it will all die down for a while, donuts in QLD and dropping cases in Vic/NSW, this wave is probably over for the year.

I'm curious, is there something in the Australian drinking water that makes cops borderline psychotic?

I've given my two cents on Australia slowly transforming into North Korea, but what the fuck is this shit?

Australia cops have traditionally been bipolar around a "no dickheads" rule, I.e. they were very professional and friendly until you such point as you acted like a dickhead at which point they became rabid dogs. Very different to US cops other than occasionally small town cops who are all aggro all the time. Daniel Andrews has managed to set all his cops to "dickhead engagement" mode somehow.

We've been making jokes about cops being cunts for decades. This isn't new. They've just gotten better equipment and we can now watch them without having to rely on the media thanks to streaming.
That's a sketch from The Paul Hogan Show in the 70s. Look up the Fitzgerald Inquiry for just one example of long standing corruption. It never changes. Cops are going to be gigantic pieces of shit whenever they can.

>Masks will be mandatory in Tasmania at large events from next Saturday, Premier Peter Gutwein has announced.
>Mr Gutwein said the order would apply to both indoor and outdoor events with 1,000 or more attendees.
>"I think it's a very sensible decision to make face masks compulsory. It reduces the risk of COVID-19 under the current circumstances of those settings and I think it's just something that we're going to need to get used to," Mr Gutwien said.

No new cases in 18 months, that spike at the beginning of the year was a transfer from Vic but still need to wear masks. I got family down there and they love it, being able to drive around and QR codes arn't being enforced.

that is so true...I went out to Roma a few months ago and it was like 'Covid who?'. I wore a mask into a shop out there and they looked at me like I was a freak. Now it makes me wonder about the detachment from the propaganda in capital cities....

I'm just gunna state the obvious real quick: the imbeciles voted for this thing. They moved their asses from their chairs went to a polling station and cast a fucking ballot with an x next to her name. And then as always it's crying crocodile tears after the fact. Same in the US, same in the UK. Not only can't the morons realise that democracy no longer exists and they vote for an ugly mug of someone doing someone else's bidding but also they pick the worst and most defective of them. Not a shred of compassion for these people. Hope they get a fucking seclite dry-docked up their asses at the police rape dungeon for daring to step foot outside their doorsteps.

Truckers in Melbourne blocking roads in protest, only 6 so far but look out if this grows.

Pallachook just mandated the jab for truckies coming into Queensland

Australia going to have our own supply chain crisis soon?
The crisis is global. If America can't export food, everyone is hurt. Australia less than most though because you actually have farmland.
