US Joe Biden News Megathread - The Other Biden Derangement Syndrome Thread (with a side order of Fauci Derangement Syndrome)

Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

When I was younger, the RINOs were much better at keeping their mask on in front of their constituents, yet nowadays they can't even up their charade for more than a few months. What gives?
If competition is total dogshit you need to just bit better than a dogshit why bother to do more. Democratic elections in the west for the past two decades have been turned into ads for voting for Cthulhu because why vote for the lesser evil

I thought Thompson was a fundamentalist. It wouldn't make sense for Hillary to fund him.
You can be forgiven for thinking that.

You would be wrong, however.

I covered this before too, the Twin Follies as I call them. 1: They tunnel vision onto a given solution, in direct proportion to the degree of damage, and lose track of all other possibilities. 2: All issues with their given solution that are not immediate are to be considered 'later'. They aren't viewed as flaws, but rather issues that will occur and can be handled 'later'.
I always saw it as this insane version of political sunk cost fallacy. Not even failed arms acquisitions boondoggles do this shit to this degree.

If you talk to Dems/the left about problems in their cities and states run by Democrats, they will just tell you it's because the Democrats in office aren't left enough. Everything would totally be solved with even more taxing and spending.

Simple pimple, easy peasy!
Just look at Seattle and Portland. Ted Wheeler got dangerously close to being unseated by an antifa member who thought he was too tough on riots and Seattle is about to vote in an abolitionist communist as the City Attorney a la San Francisco's very own Chesa Boudin.

Daily reminder that the only person that has resigned as a result of the Haitian border crisis did so because the Biden administration was being TOO TOUGH on letting them into the country.

"No bad tactics, only bad targets"
Is it Movie Blob that came up with that? He'd be dying in a field surrounded by migrants because he has no actual skills nor the stomach to play the game if Alinsky's tactics targeted him.
I think the Hill of all places pointed out that a lot of college campuses with vaccine mandates have COVID outbreaks. Most of them 90% or more vaccinated.

Big thunk right there muh brooooosssss.
This is somehow sad and disturbing.
The next time somebody takes the Statue of Liberty out of New York, they should leave it wherever they took it.

I never noticed the scale issue though Kang being a Kaiju would be an interesting plot line.

Or was he huge in that game? I can't remember.
98% is more than nations with comprehensive and non-controversial vaccination programs get after over a decade of yearly vaccination programs. Not even fucking polio reached that level of immunization. Smallpox went away with fewer people vaccinated against it. COVID would be gone long before we reached that level of immunization. Hell, it would turn into the equivalent of a seasonal flu just from general population exposure.
I think it was a Biden gaffe. He knew he needed to say a percentage but the percentages all got jumbled up and he spit out the wrong one.
The biggest reason this shit happens is because of how the worst of the left handles problem solving. This is less an issue with rank-and-file Dems, but it's a fucking huge problem with the progressives and establishment types (two parts of the Cabal, as @Gehenna calls them).

They come up with a solution, then work backwards to force that solution, even if the solution is wrong or fundamentally flawed on a basic level. They will not listen to alternatives, even if those are better, will not meaningfully negotiate, will not heed warnings, and if (more often, when) the solution fails, they will refuse to back off on it. They will then pass "band-aid" policies to prevent the original failure from becoming more of a failure, despite the fact that the original failure is still present. In this way, the problem metastasizes. It doesn't end until someone has the sense to pull the plug on the failed policy in the first place.
Take for instance "Defund the Police." Now, you can do it the retarded liberal way or the smart way which is "End the War on Drugs." You would get the same result. But retarded liberals gotta be retarded liberals and always look for expansion of the bureaucracy.

I could google it for accuracy, but who gives a fuck? Working from spotty memory, Kang(Krang?) had that robot body he hung out in, and IT could grow to huge sizes. Not so much himself though. It didn't come up much because mostly he was in the Technodrome and it usually was stuck in a ditch under NYC or stuck in a ditch inside dimension X. Thus concludes my off the cuff Tedx talk on TMNT.

I'd say it has more to do with an extreme naivety that goes along with left-wing ideology. They 'see the way' to a brighter, happier, more utopian world and get lost in their own heads about how their ideas will reach it.

And now they'll try again tomorrow, and then the day after, and until uh... whenever we start defaulting on our debt, I guess. Speaking of that stuff:

They missed an option in in both polls for people like me.

I would applaud both parties equally if the government shut down and the United States defaulted on its debt. It needs to happen.

Pelosi snuck in and passed an abortion bill that's on par with China and Best Korea. Probably won't pass the senate but whatever.
And here we see the opposite extreme on abortion rights. No, we can't meet at the middle & agree on anything, we must always be your opposite but moreso than you.

Doesn't Pelosi also identify as a Christian? I guess she's a lying harlot then.

I've seen in my lifetime when alternatives are presented, they are usually called "racist" because of course the Dems know more about how to heal racism. Then when the solution obviously fails the way conservatives said it would, Democrats scream that there were "unforeseen circumstances" and usually double down because their solution obviously would have worked if people were less racist.
Welcome to Obamacare. Right when all of the Republican-predicted disasters came through, everyone started saying it was... because the Republicans had done everything they could to hamper the ACA. Whenever Dem policy goes bad, its because the Republicans weren't on board. Always.

EDIT: Not just Christian but Catholic, @MarvinTheParanoidAndroid . Same as one President Joseph Robinette Biden.

this is very wrong and people should pay more attention to electoral politics in OR and WA

literally everyone in both states is massively unhappy about one party rule and the GOP or a wellfunded third party could be picking off seats by the simple and obvious method of running nonwhite locals

the fact that they don't do this and instead run wellfinanced RINO loser white boomer and older gen X candidates is one of the biggest pieces of evidence imo that the GOP wants to lose
I prefer to believe that they know they're not going to be especially competitive in these areas, so by allowing 1 party rule its a total race to the bottom. I mean, how bad can Seattle get? Lets find out together!

It's amazing now that third term abortions are just normalized now, at least in politican and crazy dangerhair speak. When I was pro-choice even ten years ago, only the craziest of the crazy wanted it.

The same with how I just woke up one day and was Republican now, I feel like I woke up one day and was pro-life. That safe, legal, and rare shit just went straight out the window.

See, it'd be one thing if these people were just areligious but no, they lie & claim to hold the values of a specific faith. This isn't the 50's, it's more than okay to be secular in this day and age, it's honestly more damning to me if you lie as a Christian than if you did as an atheist. Like, why bother pretending?
