I love Jim's victim olympics, he always has to be suffering more than anyone else in the same situation. Never mind that anyone who gets hooked on this is a (stupid) victim of the predatory nature of it, Jim has to be not just a run of the mill victim, but a SPECIAL victim of DISCRIMINATION and ABLEISM because of his selective aay-dee-aych-dee.

Okay, so it's just a micro-transaction video, but there's more hostage statement footage in this one.

Buy some chairs or something if you're going to have guests on. Do anything that doesn't make it look like everyone involved is about to be beheaded.

I originally thought it was a 'bit' where everyone who appeared next to Jim looked like a deer in headlights, but it's clearly just terrible production at this point.

The setup works for one person talking to camera, but when it's two people awkwardly close together, side-eying eachother for minutes at a time, it looks awful.

I know his show has bigger problems, but it's another one of those things that show how little he cares about making anything better.

It's reminiscent of when Doug Walker got $90k to make his fuck-awful quiz show and it looked like something kids would make with spare shit their dad gave them out the garage, not to mention every single word out of anyone's mouth was pure, uncut cringe for the entire 12-episode run.

Meanwhile, RedLetterMedia cobble together a Star Trek/David Lynch quiz show as a joke that looks a million times more professional and actually operates like a real quiz show even though they're taking the piss.

The longer a YouTube channel goes on you really start to get a feel for who is a professional and who just came along at the right time.

Now I don't have adhd, but from the sounds of it Jim doesn't either so who cares.

What Jim is describing is not disassociating, it's just simply not thinking before he buys shit. He's just to proud to admit that he did something stupid so he blames it on mental illness and evil businessmen instead of himself. The video seems to be less about predatory business practices and more about how it's not his faults he wasted money. Makes me wonder exactly how much money he spent.

Well, in my honest opinion, as someone who was diagnosed with ADHD and is no longer medicated, yeah, you can have impulsive moments and buy things deep down you don't need. I did that even with medication, and I could excuse it as being dumb and and young. Jimbo on the other hand, IS medicated, IS old, and quite frankly, for him to sit there and say Adderal, the closet thing you could get to meth, is not enough to curtail his bad habits, is utter nonse. The fact that he's even able to get it mentally breaks me a bit, because now a days script for that costs at least $50-100 for just a 60ct of their highest dose. With insurance I might add. Without insurance the cost is upwards of $400-600

Very true, but the RLMs guy already had some background in video producing, including the tech aspect of it, since before they got big, they used to produce commercials for their local area.

And to not bash Doug all that hard, he does try to give his videos some production value, but him and his team are both unequipped and not well versed into the technical aspects of film making, even after all these years.

Still, Doug can keep his channel going over with his presence, like it or not he has charisma to drive viewership, and that is the thing these guy that came during the "right time" have going for them, and the same use to be the same for Sterling, he was never the most thought provoking, or clever commentator out there, but he had his own charisma to speak of.

And now, its all gone. Sure, loot box whinning was already a problem way before the wig and lipstick shit, and his charming obnoxious act just became obnoxious, but once the self-rigthous tranny talk came into the mix, that was the final drop, it is too much of a shit show for anyone to bear.

Mind you, the guy still has a pretty strong patreon, and even if the subs are dropping, his views are still holding, so he going to be fine, but to bring back to Doug Walker, Walker still has what made him big back in the day, it probably wouldn't do so on today's scene, but he still has it and people still watch him.

Sterling has lost whatever made him famous back when, and it is not coming back, and one has to wonder for how long he can hold whatever essencial support he has. Like i said, he is going to be fine, but for how long?

That's a fair point, but he got 90k: He could have used some of that money to hire people who do know how to properly dress/light/mic a set; hell just hire fuckin RLM and pay Rich to be the host. It couldn't be any worse than what we got.

Same with Jim, he could easily pump some of that 10k (accounting for expenses, taxes, Patreon's cut etc) per month back into improving the show, but as you say unlike Doug who at least has a fallback he can eke out a consistent income from, Jim has been running on fumes since before his subs started dropping off; like you I really wonder how much longer he can keep this up.

Having said that, it really depends how many of his Patrons even still watch the show. I think we crunched the numbers a while back and it's likely they're all only giving $1-2 a month so odds are the majority are just people who pledged back at the start and have never bothered to cancel because it's only a couple bucks a month, meaning he could put literally anything up on his channel and it'd make no difference.

For his sake I hope that's the case, because his alternative revenue options are slim to non-existent.

Looking at that video again, it's telling that no matter how hard Jimbo tries, the closest he ever gets to "passing" is looking like Laci Green's alcoholic aunt. You know, the one with the 2-pack a day habit who sounds like Marge's sisters from the Simpsons? Yeah, that one. And even then, we can clock him as a guy from a mile away.

Whatever delusion supports their zero accountability. Their lot in life cant be because of their poor choices, it has to be gender related, or some other thing to blame like anxiety, depression, disassociation... They need all the social programs, hand outs, and ass pats they can get because they cant be held responsible for anything.

Its fucking pathetic.
