Mom's boss told her that a vaccine mandate is coming down the pipeline for her line of work. And before you say "WRONGFUL TERMINATION SUIT INCOMING", unfortunately, she works for a local county's gubbmint, so I don't think she has that option. I just hope she either gets her real estate certification before then, or the Novavax vaccine comes out before then.

NY COVID-19 vaccine mandate for health care workers in effect, unvaccinated let go from jobs

Time is up for unvaccinated health care workers to get vaccinated. The group had until midnight Monday to get their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine or face immediate suspension.

The state’s health care COVID-19 vaccine mandate is in effect, which means unvaccinated health care workers across Long Island could be out of a job as early as this morning.

Gov. Kathy Hochul signed an executive order Monday night that expands the eligible health care work force and allows additional health care workers to administer COVID-19 testing and vaccinations.

A 24/7 Operations Center, led by the Department of Public Health, will monitor staffing operations and trends statewide.

Northwell Health says around two dozen staff members have already been terminated for refusing the vaccine and the rest of the unvaccinated workers will be fired as well.

Nassau's Office of Emergency Management is being activated to help hospitals deal with possible staffing shortages.

Gov. Hochul says if there aren't enough workers, she's also ready to bring in the National Guard to take their place.

Russia largely doesn't have starvation issues either (but they may have some issues with crops in the future if the giant hogweed keeps spreading). 40% of Russia's food supply is grown on personal plots of land around dachas.
