Yeah, it's pretty common. You gotta keep in mind that branding/marketing and type of work a sex worker does will impact the type of clients they get - if you offer GFE and your tweets are all about dates you're probably gonna get more of the ones looking for a boyfriend-free girl than if you were to do mainly blow&go/PSE bookings and talk about how much you love cock a lot because the nature of the service and advertising will attract different types of guy. Plus if you've got social media for promo, that encourages the parasocial relationships - they feel like they know you before they've ever met you, they'll comment in bookings about a band you said you liked 3 months ago and ask if you're going to their next gig. It's more annoying than anything else, as long as you're strict with boundaries and don't ever trust a single one of them with actual personal info.

They're pretty much all shit in their own special way, but the ones who just treat you like a bit of meat don't tend to tweet about it, they're on the punter forums/review sites instead which are a whole other kettle of rotten fish.

Punter forums speak about us like we're sex dolls, lose their minds if anyone dares to charge more than what they think is acceptable and have the most batshit high standards for what they expect in a booking. They are similar to Russell in that they look like they've clambered out of primordial ooze but are adamant that they deserve a 9/10.

They're the proper hobbyists, the type of guy who'll "try out" a different person each week. The forum/review culture actively discourages being nice about swers, if you have a new account and post a positive review they'll accuse you of making it up to whiteknight.
The people I'm closest to and myself actively try and avoid forum guys because they will nitpick over the tiniest thing, even getting a positive review from them isn't a good thing because it just means more of them will come to you and its just a matter of time before you get a negative. They go into bookings looking for things to complain about.
I saw one review the other day which described in great detail how he couldn't get hard, which had also happened in other bookings, from his own description the swer sounded like she went above and beyond trying hard to help him raise the flagpole (honestly far more effort than I would put in) and tried all sorts of things, finally managed to get him hard enough to fuck and he came, yet he still gave her a negative review "for obvious reasons" - I was genuinely appalled that he was blaming his old man dick not working on the girl when he still managed to get hard and cum? It's mind-boggling. Those guys genuinely just fucking hate women and will use anything they can to try and feel superior because it infuriates them that they have to pay women for sex at all.
They also regularly try to arrange a month-long boycott of any swer with rates higher than a certain amount to try and force them all to lower rates, not realising that that time of the year is our favourite because we know we're less likely to accidentally book the fuckers.

They'll post address information & face pictures and it's not unheard of to have them contact you threatening to leave a bad review unless you agree to see them for half your usual price. Personally, I think the majority of reviews on there are hugely exaggerated - so many read like Readers Wives stories - and a large amount are completely made up just to get back at swers who refused a booking. I know a few people who've had reviews from people describing bookings that simply did not happen,they've never met the guy.

Review board guys expect a full PSE with kissing, CIM/swallowing, anal, in a 5 star hotel with free parking and a servant to rinse their knob off for £50 an hour. They get mad if they cum too quickly because they think they're being scammed despite the fact that the only reason they're there is to cum!
They also hate clock watchers - if you have the audacity to expect someone who's booked a 30min incall with you to leave after 30 minutes you're basically Aileen Wuornos.

Clients love to use a style of maths known colloquially as Punter Maths to calculate how much we earn and call us greedy, which is a very complicated and high tech system in which Hourly Rate X 40 (hrs/week) X 52 (weeks/year) = yearly income. This leads them to claim that someone who charges £100/hr earns 200k a year and therefore can afford to lower their rates more, ignoring the obvious: a lot of sex work is not actually just being paid to have sex and I've never met anyone who does indie full service 5 days a week, 8 hours a day. For me at least, even if I accepted every single enquiry that came my way and didn't screen out anyone, plus all of them actually turned up and paid (no shows are common), I would still probably only get 15 clients a week max. I've worked at different rates throughout the time I've done this - there simply aren't so many clients out there that people could do 40 bookings a week even if they wanted to.

There's admin that goes into sex work just like any other independent contractor: setting up and maintaining a website, writing ad copy, taking and editing pictures, updating social media, booking hotels and transport, responding to enquiries, screening, prepping and doing hair/makeup for bookings, packing, travelling to and from bookings, attending hair/nail appointments, scanning receipts - and just like any other industry where you get paid per gig, you don't get paid for that stuff, so your rates need to cover the time you spend doing all the other unpaid work too.

You don't get sick pay or holiday pay (both a statutory requirement in most jobs in the UK, I know America is shit for that though) so the money you make also needs to cover that, tax, savings/pension and the usual costs of living on top of the obvious business expenses like website/ads/lingerie/photos. So while £100/hr might sound like an insane amount of money to non-swers, it's not really much at all if you're only getting 4-5 bookings a week on average, you'll be somewhere between the minimum wage and living wage when you take off expenses.
