I think the main reason everyone's assuming that Penny is gonna not be on #TeamAlyssa is because Penny is the one person there who seems 100% committed to the Ranch itself as something more than just a convenient place to sit, tweet, and stuff transformers up the AmHole.
Kevin and most of the orbiters are just there because they're too maladjusted to live anywhere else, Sky just seems to go with the flow 90% of the time, Full of Rage dude just wants a place to park a trailer and perform hobomurder experiments or whatever the fuck he's doing in that serial killer trailer of his, but Penny is actually dedicated to the whole rancher thing in a way that the others aren't. Yeah, he's total shit at it, but he's the one roaming the property at night playing soldier even when it means working the whole next day too, and he's the one who keeps hurting himself from working so hard.
Within about .02 seconds of Alyssa entering the picture you could tell she's a fucking bomb waiting to go off and take down everyone and everything in a ten-mile radius. She's already torn a rift right in the middle of Penny's neat little venture in about three weeks, and I would like to hope that even he can tell letting her become a 'permanent' part of it is a fasttrack to her managing to destroy it.
Whether he decides that's a bigger risk than some sort of legal battle with Bonnie remains to be seen but I think even he can tell letting her on the ranch is guaranteeing the whole thing burning, metaphorically or literally. It's just gonna come down to what's the bigger risk, I guess.
