It was all right in 2001-2002, maybe early 2003. When el pinto grande realized he was far too stupid to actually back up any arguments he made in the (at that time) semi-autonomous subforum Current Events and went seething and bawling his eyes out to his boyfriend Fistgrrl she had CE and one other subforum deleted and replaced with D&D, and imposed heavy handed moderation on it in a forum where you were banned for disagreeing in any way with a mod, which works really well in a debate forum, at least if you're epg.

It was fucking ruined. It went from a place of people with thick skins and high quality debate where regulars got along well, which is cool when the political beliefs ranged from ubercommies to people so far right Mussolini would have written them off, to what SA is now. The last straw for anyone worth talking to was when the bittorrent subforum was ficked with (Horse Porn Junction? It's been a fucking long time).

Some of the coolest internet stupidity came from CE. We made Alan Greenspan our mascot, with slogans like "Conspicuous Consumption" and a Soviet red star, which works as satire for the left and right. It was a great collaboration across the entire political spectrum and I really miss shit like that.

Fistgrrl ruined everything as Lowtax got addicted to box wine and completed her bullshit while Lowrax was distracted desperately looking for hosting that didn't cost him all of his box wine money when the place he had a sweetheart deal with went literally underwater when Katrina flooded New Orleans.

I am totally for the vaccine, and drove a couple hundred miles to get it. I am against the government invading our lives any more than it already does.
