Besides that article being an ad for a company that helps students apply to foreign universities, to get reduced fees (not free, the headline is misleading) you need to move there legally with either dual citizenship or a student/temporary residency visa, and for the visa you need about 10 grand in your bank account or other proof of assets to show you'll be able to live there because you're usually not allowed work at the same time. These people are part of the ivory tower blogger class who agree with every single person who upvoted that post.

Reddit poster u/berning_man claims to have been a broken buck in a past life.

Gotta love the title "Pot, meet kettle" wow you really showed them.

The second guy is interesting to say the least. When I went to archive the post I noticed our guy posts a lot in a niche sub mostly to himself.

This master chef is giving off Lector vibes.
Yeah, no shit that the experience of killing someone and eating them illegally would be different than eating some lab grown, podesta stamped slab of meat.

Only a redditor would want to share a baby for dinner.

"I see nothing morally wrong with getting purposefully pregnant, aborting the fetus and cooking and eating it"

Thanks dawkins, that god dude really served no purpose.

Was wondering what people would be saying about HCA on here. I'd been lurking there and this development came as a legitimate surprise to me considering I thought a thoroughly lefty sub would be safe. Is there some internal admin discourse brewing I don't know about? The moderator posts turned aggressive toward the userbase out of nowhere.

Honest question, why do people spend so much time on Reddit? I personally hate it. It's been a while since I was on there, so maybe the interface has changed for the better, but most of the content is pretty low quality to me, including many comments from redditors, but I think my point holds true for most people.

Are lefties really too dumb to realize that maybe that isn't a good thing for europe and a way for americans to take advantage of their institutions?

Although the flip side of that is brain drain and the research they may end up doing.
I bet they have a bond there where they have to stay there for a certain amount of time to recoup costs. They're not going to give it for free. There's always a catch.

I checked out for the Netherlands. Yearly tuition is somewhere between 2000 and 3000 euros or 2300 and 3500 in dollars. But if you're from outside the EU, it can be double or triple that. I just used one website as source, so fuck me if it's really accurate or not.

When I heard experiences from international students sporadically, they usually thought the quality of education was quite good, but the organisation around the education was terrible. There were certain questions about how things worked that were just very hard to find an answer for because it was often not clear who or what office should answer those type of questions. I tried helping one american student at one point and just ended up getting frustrated and giving up. I've heard similar stories even from dutch students, who don't have nearly the same amount of stuff to figure out.

My own experience with teaching higher education is that they kinda are money making machines and they don't mind offering useless courses (or they wouldn't have gotten me to teach some). But I'm sure good stuff happens at the actual valuable studies.

No they changed the interface for the worst. I mostly go there to watch the dumpster fires.

That's because they get positive reinforcement for pure hiveminded shit in the form of plebbit gold and updoots. They might as well be in a Skinner box. I bet you could write a bot that just looked for the highest rated posts, threw them in a blender, and Markov chained posts and it would get tons of updoots too.

Well there is the sub that is populated by bots and nonbots cant post, where all the bots are markov populated by one subreddit each.

It's pretty popular, but I forget the name.

Found it.
Yeah those all time top threads are pretty fun:

It looks like the old sub that was populated by different bots, named after subreddits is close though... T.T

(You'll need google translate for this)
Malding communists in the people's republic of r/Italy are angry that their beloved genocidal dictator gets compared to another genocidal dictator. Seething and coping ensues amid Holodomor conspiracy theories, rosy fanfiction about gulags being theme parks and tankies losing their nerves and last bits of sanity.

I can't be the only one that gets a "this person got invited to the Taliban and is writing their manifesto" vibe, right? It only took the jannies 9 hours to clean this one up. [A]

The comments are a beautiful shitstorm. Naturally, other Redditors told OP that they were a retard, because most people don't throw a full blown party on 9/11 and they're full of shit. Some people were pretty aggressive with this and maybe called Afganistan a "shithole country." Other comments were sucking OP's clit in perfect white "guilt complex" savior fashion. There were also some typical anti-America comments strewn in because America is the clearly most evil country on earth. OP seemed to be pre-occupied with trying to pretend to be a victim among their entire race, crying about how mosques (no specific ones mentioned, conveniently) were boycotted and somehow closed. They also conveniently never really engaged with people that refuted the argument that most Americans don't party on 9/11, it is just a day of remembrance for an attack that seemed so improbable.

There is only irony in bitching about treating an entire country as an individual person while doing the exact same thing to another. America bad tho so it's okay.

this guy with his rupaulesque name is surely an average white redditor doing a low effort larp to increase his faggot points or to get validation and ehugs for his "I'm not like everyone else, america really does=bad" excuse for a personality/deep thinking capability.

would a shithole-dweller whose country's been run over bombed and burned for 20 years by zionist superpowers really call it a "costly war" lol I mean that's what I'd call it
