Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Lately I've been drinking blackberry brandy for my more stressful workdays. I can get it cheap for less than $8 in a lot of places near me, plus I like the taste. It's very sweet, but the aftertaste will burn your throat like a good rum.

To be honest, I wish I drank some tonight if I knew I was gonna spend another day after work browsing this thread.

This is a man who has, in every book he made, dedicated an entire chapter to the importance of revenge. The name of one such chapter: "Revenge: How and when to get it (and why it's so sweet)". Where he details that you should avoid getting revenge right away, you should plan it out, aim for maximum effect, and savour the coming retribution. Sample it like a fine wine.

It's not accidental he is silent, its him enjoying the drink.

It amazes me people miss this. The first thing I did when I realized he was actually serious in 2015 was pick up Art of the Deal. Sure, ghostwritten but it was a good way to get an understanding of the man under the image of bluster he cultivates. He's much more of a strategic thinker than people give him credit for, which is the point of his public image. I mean, I don't know that he's a brilliant mastermind type, but he's read his Sun Tzu and actually gets it.

If he runs and get elected again in 2024 it's going to be incredibly entertaining, especially since I think he'll actually have some measure of the political capital he lacked the first time around.

Okay, so the this bill that most people don't have a single idea of what is really about, or even know what tangible goal the democrats have (I don't know what they really want to be honest) doesn't pass and Biden and the dems take yet another L.

The finger point starts and the so called civil war rages on, so, what is it in the end?

people are talking about republican take over next mid terms, and might be as well, but I will only believe when it I see, not to mention the california recall showed that the Dems still have pretty big strongholds.

So after all this drama is done and gone, what are we looking here and what potential changes will come out of this?

Blackberry Brandy is really popular with polish people they call it Jezy. Pretty common in corner bars in polish neighborhoods to order a brandy and a beer. Also it gets you drunk.

They want to be able to afford anything. It's a massive pile of pork designed to pay off their absolutely crippling debt after they put everything on credit.

I fail to see what California has to do with a potential Republican taking of congress. California is going Blue, but it only has 2 senators like every other state. Republicans are forecasted to take a ton of purple states though.


As for what changes. The Democrat Civil War going from behind the scenes to front and center means everyone gets savaged on that side, Republicans enter an odd position of power in Congress as they theoretically could get disaffected democrats to vote alongside them on stuff they push forward, so both chambers of Congress will need to be locked down by their respective heads. The problem there is that it means congress can do exactly nothing until the midterms potentially shift power.




So in short, governments going from ineffectual to actually useless.

He got told off by 5th circuit to keep the policy in place, is this another attempt to just bull-rush his agenda while the Supreme Court is in recess, a la the CDC and the eviction moratorium?
I really hope we start seeing the courts take action against bad faith executive policy like this. Counter-sue in court instead of pawning off a memo that's lame-duck on its face and is only in place to take advantage of the court being out of session.

Yet more examples of him making the courts more hostile to him... this cannot end well for him, and has to come from Jill Biden. The woman may like being the woman behind the man, but she knows little of how politics actually works. THe more SCOTUS and the lower courts are forced to strike him down, the more likely they get to do it on important things out of sheer spite.

Blackberry brandy is nice on a hayride in the Poconos in December. Been der, done dat.

I'm strictly a Russian operative these days. Give me Stoli or give me the Gulag. All true alkies eventually abandon one bourbon, one scotch, one beer and end up in the wodka camp like me. Polish? Good. Russian? Even better.
