In 2020 there were approximately 5,200 suicides recorded in the UK. There are an estimated 250-500k trans people in the UK. That would mean somewhere between 62,000-125,000 troon suicides.

Lammy is a fucking idiotic nonentity, sent out when the Labour Party wants someone bombastic to defend identity politics but without engaging with the substance of the criticism. So, regularly.

Incidentally, he's also wrong in both terminology and the morality of using suicide as a gotcha. Suicide hasn't been an offence in England and Wales since 1961, so no-one 'commits' suicide, and Samaritans actively cautions against sensationalising suicide in the media, especially when talking about vulnerable groups.

Pretty much every woman understands and is bought up in some level of “cultural femininity”, and that’s going to change depending on the culture. I suspect that they mean women who chose not to conform to it because they don’t like it. Like how a woman might not be the cook in the family because her husband is better at it. That’s not failing at being a girl for christsakes, that’s admitting that you’re an adult and your husband is the better cook. More drastically, a Muslim woman woulnt become a man if she chooses not to wear a veil. That’s not being masculine, it’s rejecting something traditionally feminine in favor of something the individual likes.
