Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

He's absolutely a crook and needs to get dumped out of the window with the rest of the trash in our government, but if any of what he said is true... we have much bigger problems than we expected.

Oh yes. Even with this revelation, I don't like him. I just don't hate him either. He acted the best he could in a bad situation. A situation he helped create and has done nothing to resolve, but not treasonous.

Shes about bidens age, right? Its night and day comparing the two. Creepy as her lizard like movements are, shes animated, she engages the press, even taking questions. Shes clearly day drunk but she can banter and stay on point. This presser shined a bright spotlight on how frail and declining biden is.

Ah, I see these polls were entirely sampled from university students living in the two states' capitals.

Either that or they wrote down "support" when the person asked "what's Build Back Better?".

stuff like this is why I am very optimistic about the future. lots of people who would never go near a place like KF have had up close and personal experiences with how dangerous the globalized supply chain is. Everyone in any kind of hobby has stories. There are now tens of thousands of educated literate adults with internet connections who have figured out how to make their own whatevers, because they can't trust stuff you buy in the store to be properly calibrated/not made of poison/just basically suited for purpose.

She was so unpopular that she dropped out of the hotly contested primary in November 2019. She was only ever the gimmick of black and woman. Biden declared that when he said his running mate would be a woman of color. No one wanted Biden or Harris. They even told you this when they said "not Trump." That's who they voted for, not Trump.

Alright, I tried to take an objective look at the $3.5T spending package (we can drop the infrastructure ruse and call it what it is), and consider it objectively.

There's some things in it I could get behind IN PRINCIPLE:
- Universal pre-school -- early education is very strongly corrolated with future success. If one program in this is actually an investment in the future, it's this.
- Free or subsidized community college (for citizens and permanent residents ONLY) -- community college is practical, much less cost inflated than university, and geared towards immediately employable professions like radiology, auto and aircraft maintenance, electronics technicians, etc.
- Paid family leave -- nearly every developed nation has a version of this, and if it is limited to a reasonable time it makes sense
- Medicare Dental/Vision - believe it or not, Medicare is more efficient compared to private insurance. Think economy of scale. This may actually be a macro-level savings.

There's also a lot of issues with it:
- 10 tons of pork to pay off all the DNC indebted favors (duh)
- Monthly child care credit payments with no work requirement -- just call it what it is: increased financial enslavement to gibs
- Expanded child care -- this is a really gray area. Is this just going to be another gib that screws the middle class and hands out money to the carefully cultivated DNC dependent class? Given who's writing it, probably.
- Most importantly, contextualizing it with the current situation. We just BRRRRRRR'd a shitload of cash to deal with COVID, and the response is to fire up the printer again immediately before we can even recover from the previous round? I'm not an Econ PhD, but I'm pretty damn sure that's a bad idea. And fuck every shill saying "ZERO DOLLARS!" We aren't retarded, fuck you for thinking we are.
- Making benefits purposefully include illegal residents -- fuck off, DNC.

Some of these ideas should be revisited later, but this bill is not what America needs right now. Get bent, corpse president.

ETA - There's more on the problem side after reading more:
- Citizenship for "Dreamers" (DACA) -- DNC wet dream item
- A bunch of bullshit climate pork, which will do nothing since China outpollutes everyone else combined and gives no fucks
- Something about TPS (Temporary Protected Status), which is really just more third-world migrant importing. Which they apparently plan to do constantly with or without this bill.
