Do you hate anime? - What’s your reasons for disliking it? Can you elaborate?

Personally, I have a deep dislike of anime due to it likely contributing to Troonish or adjacent behaviour, the effeminate bullshit that it promotes I believe is causing actual damage to society.

At this point it’s seeped into the mainstream western public at such a disturbing rate, that a generation of impressionable kids have become degenerates.

Edit:

To a lesser extent, I also think it’s impacting western creativity in terms of art and entertainment, particularly when it comes to laziness. Anime is fairly low effort and the west is trying to replicate it. Just look at what Thundercats almost became, as opposed to what it used to be.

I don't hate it, because I do not watch it, because I do not like most of cartoons just because they are cartoons and it doesn't mesh with muh autism.

Hot take but I blame fanfiction/slash fiction more for troons. Anime like most properties is fine on its own but the fanbases are usually insane.
I think it acts as a gateway into it and slowly becomes an echo chamber from there. The fanfics and whatnot just signify how far those people have fallen, like a signpost that says ‘no turning back’.

A lot of it is retarded, especially all those cutesy girly ones, but there are some really good ones like Fullmetal Alchemist, Attack on Titan, Cowboy Bebop, etc., that should be respected. I can definitely understand why a lot of people would hate it as a medium though due to all the cringey weirdos that are obsessed with it, who also just so happen to be obsessed with the anime that sexualize 14 year old girls (definitely no correlation here whatsoever).

I think the tranime connection depends on what anime you watch and what you fixate on. I seriously doubt that Kaiji has caused any troonouts, for example.

People who fixate on yuri/yaoi have a high troonout likelihood though.

Most animu nowadays sucks, especially the long-titled quasi-harem fantasy shows with the mopey protags. The overuse of exposition particularly in anime storytelling continues to get more audience insulting (as Japan deals with its own age of idiocracy). It's definitely proliferated as an artform too much over here, but I blame that on most people fleeing our progressively marxist western media, whether they realize it or not. Imagine a medieval dark fantasy story with Germanic cultural inspiration, if made by modern western nations you'd get a story about a handicapped transsexual nigger. But when made by the Japanese, you get historical parallels, cultural respect, and great art.
