Rand Paul is all talk no action where it counts, like every other libertarian. He would absolutely bitch out at the 11th hour based on some vague principle he mysteriously didn't uphold in some previous instance.
I'd be kind of, sort of interested in Trump/Cruz. I don't really trust the latter much though, he worked at Goldman Sachs if I recall.

Elder still lost by essentially the same exact margin John Cox did, though. It's not that he wouldn't have been a good governor, but he was never going to win in California on a strong right-wing platform.
