Anyone remember 101 wizbang on nickelodeon?

I remember getting so freaked out and scared to watch nick in October, cause you never knew when an episode could be a Halloween special. Yeah despite my name and love of horror now I hated...HATED anything scary as a little kid, oh the irony.

EDIT:L sorry thought it contained the actual host segments and not just 90s commercials, but apparently most of the 101 wizbang segments are lost media, damnnit.

/co/mblr's autism should never baffle anyone anymore tbh. It's one of the shittiest boards on the entirety of 4channel.

By the way, has anyone seen The Ghost and Molly McGee?

It's a new Disney Channel cartoon and it's half decent...so far. Dana Snyder (AKA Master Shake) is the best part and the only reason I wanted to watch it in the first place. The MC is le quirky hyperactive gril along with a bunch of other generic human characters. The animation is actually really good, but Mercury Filmworks always does a great job.

The thing is about these shows is that they almost always start out decent, if not pretty good, before going downhill immediately (Star Vs).
btw the show hasn't officially released yet (that's today) and the threads on /co/mblr are already complete cancer.

In other news apparently the Cuckflix He-Man reboot (NOT the Kevin Smith one) is pretty good too, but I haven't watched it yet. Too bad they killed all goodwill with Revelations so even if anybody has heard of the other MOTU reboot nobody will want to watch it for fear of it being completely terrible.
I’m not sure how much trust other people saying the new He-Man is good. Aside from being weirdly astroturfed, the series completely abandons all the fantasy and Barbarian trappings for pure sci-fi (because that worked so well the last time), the weird art style looks god awful in 3D, and some of the changes made to the characters are just baffling. It’s pretty depressing if the last good MotU show was from nearly 20 years ago.

The Ghost and Molly McGee seems like a fun show, a bit too straightforward but that’s not really a bad thing. So long as it doesn’t go full lore bait or get clogged up with shipping bullshit, I can see this having a long future on Disney. And given that the MC is a brown girl, it’s no surprise that the threads are already cancer; as we’ve seen in just a few posts here, /co/‘s autism can be downright terrifying to witness.

Ten Year Old Tom
Just saw the trailer for that.
Pardon me if this sounds autistic, but the fact that the kids sound like adults instantly turned me off. Like, that's one of my big pet peeves in animation, and especially adult animation: when no effort is made to hide the fact that children characters are voiced by adults. The only show where that's worked IMO is Home Movies, but that's because the improv made the kids' dialogue sound like what actual kids would say. Also it's yet another adult animated series that looks ugly as shit. At least it isn't CalArts beanmouth style.

Yeah I suppose we're far from the days when June Foray and Dick Beals would do convincing child voices in cartoons.

Kids would never say half the shit in Home Movies

As for Tom, it's ugly as shit since its a successor to Life and Times of Tim, which was based on a short film an ad executive made in his spare time. Tim and this look ugly as shit but I swear they're some of the funniest shit I've seen in years. Both shows, I admit, would probably work better as audio plays or something but I digress.

Honestly, if your show can entertainment me, which is really, really hard to do, then I don't care what it looks like.

Recently I decided to watch Aqua Teen Hunger Force again to finally watch the weird experimental later episodes and to revisit an old favorite. Absolutely ridiculous humor and is still the peak of the Adult Swim style comedy for me. Carl being the best character went completely over my head as a kid and it was great revisiting the series. Goes by pretty fast too thanks to the 11 minute per episode run time.

I also had to share this from it. Fantastic conversational pacing and a fantastic bit from the show.

Been rewatching Kids Next Door on HBO Max. I think it ages well. The animation is usually nice. Though the kids hands and feet are really big which can be distracting. Many of the plots are creative as well as the gadgets and even the episodes titles. All the kids and adults have different personalities so each episode feels different. I think it stands as on of Cartoon Networks best of the early and mid 2000s. Also, Father is voiced by Maurice LaMarche which is awesome.

Anybody else remember God, the Devil, and Bob? That was a great show, too bad it only lasted for 13 episodes. Basic summary of the show- God decides that humanity should be wiped out, but wants to give them one last chance, so he allows the Devil to pick any 1 person, and if that person can show God the human race cans till be saved, God won't wipe them out. The Devil chooses Bob, a beer and porn loving, married, father-of-two everyman. He's a flawed, but good-hearted person.

The show was well written, had a great voice cast, and never came across as too preachy, which is impressive considering the show's premise. Definitely worth a watch if you haven't already seen it.

My favorite episode was episode 4.
I like the idea of the Devil being emotionally hurt that God forgot his birthday, it's funny yet touching, he may have rebelled against God, but he still wants his validation. As payback, the Devil removes all the evil from the world and decides to focus his efforts on reorganizing Hell. The fact that this backfires on him when he decides to hire Martha Stewart to help him change Hell, only for her inadvertently take control of Hell away from him.

Been rewatching Kids Next Door
Mr. Boss: Any last requests?

Number 4: Chewy Pellets?

Mr. Boss: Typical! All you stupid kids think about is candy!

Father: HEY! This market is for villians only!

Number 4: Oh don't worry we just came to get out breakfast!

Nightbrace: Do you know what this stuff does to your teeth and gums?! I'm not going to eat them I'm going to destroy Them!

Everyone: What?! What?! WHAT?!

Fizz: Que?

Number one: ahem, desperate times call for desperate measures...truce?

Father: Until breakfast is over!

Mr. Wink : An inconvenient situation Mr. Fibb.

Mr. Fibb: Most annoying Mr. Wink.

Imagine being 30+ years removed from the original ThunderCats cartoon with BETTER equipment, and STILL not being capable of touching the intro. The Mazinger reference isn't clever either. The first season was terrible, and this one will be as well.

It's sad. Japan certainly could never be topped there.
