If it's such a big "fuck you", why is Vic still allowed at the hotel? He fills the hotel and AWA fulfills their contract obligations of selling rooms.
I know Stan and you think you are "bashing the man" but they could have thrown Vic out at any time on his ass being that the hotel is under contract to the convention. And if my being hysterically amused at Vic’s meet and greet taking place a stones throw from AWA has upset your poor sense of propriety then that’s your problem. If I wanted to provoke someone I’d sure as shit do something other than laughing about it. I’d probably call and email and harass the hotel staff… oh wait… that’s what another sort of person has done and likely will do going forward.

The convention is held at the Waverly and the Cobb Galleria Centre. As Squally has stated convention centers and hotels can and do host multiple events at the same time in the same venue while utilizing different areas of their facility. See all the people whose wedding photos were made far more spectacular back in the days before AWA rented the whole of the Galleria Center.
Vic’s meet and greet is at a separate hotel at which AWA has an contract for a certain number of hotel rooms ( usually referred to as a block) at a special price but at which no official AWA events are being held ( though in the past I believe it is the location where the staff “Dead Dog” party has been held).

It doesn't matter what the hotel thinks. They are under contract for the con. So the con says jump, they jump. Even more, if said con fulfilled their room obligations. The green makes the service industry into subservient little bitches.

Do you have a copy of the hotel contract with the con that says the hotel pricing is for con attendees and you have to abide by the convention rules to continue holding that room? It's shit you sign when you check-in at their hotels if you actually went recently. So by those rules, Vic is considered a vendor because he is selling shit on contracted private property. To think AWA doesn't know would be ignorant. I would keep my mouth shut because you could just piss them off and they could wait out of spite for him to get there and then shut the shit down. Why they haven't shut it down is suspicious, to say the least, and I rather not fucking annoy them to the point that it inclines them, even more, to shut it down.
I know this shit from when Katsucon pretty much had my room taken out from under me after check-in because they wanted it for some bullshit their staffers needed it. I wasn't even vending or doing shit, I was just the random fuck room they wanted. All I got was a refund on my room and offered a free badge if I could find another fucking room in another hotel.
