If such a contract exists in this case, that applies to the rooms and space that the hotel blocks out for the con they are contracting with. Not the entire hotel, fuckwit. What you need to get through your thick skull is that AWA apparently hasn't negotiated a contract where they get to block off everything. Few conventions do, to my knowledge. Ergo, the convention is free to negotiate something separate, with some other party, utilizing the space they haven't blocked off for the con. Capeesh?
