EXCLUSIVE: Oakland elementary school teacher: 'Kill your local police chief'​

Hayden Eller, a 3rd grade school teacher at AIMS College PrepElementary School, wrote a violent post on Twitter calling for his followers to kill police earlier this year.

An elementary school teacher in Oakland, Calif. has been revealed to have an online history of extreme far-left posts.

Hayden Eller, a third grade school teacher at AIMS College Prep Elementary School, wrote a post on Twitter calling for his followers to kill police earlier this year.

"K**l your local police chief," Eller wrote in a May 5 post on Twitter using the moniker "@burtbothian." His account was deleted on Thursday after conservative activist Tayler Hansen tweeted out screenshots from Eller’s Twitter account.

Eller was identified as the person behind the account because he posted photos and videos of himself in the classroom with children present.

Eller, who said he suffers from schizophrenic tendencies, has also expressed a desire for political violence against civilians and the U.S. "Are we ready to kill + eat the rich yet? Please?" he tweeted in March 2020. Then in May 2020 he wrote: "F— Joe Biden, f— this two party system, let it burn, the U.S. shouldn't be a country anymore."

Eller is one of three third grade teachers at AIMS College Prep Elementary School, according to the school's website. As of Thursday, he was listed on the staff page but has since been removed. It is unclear if he is still employed at the school. AIMS College Prep Elementary School has been reached for comment but refused to give any information on Hayden Eller's employment status.

The school’s website says it "serves 250 inner-city students from grades K-5." The charter school was the recipient of the Blue Ribbon Award as well as the 2020 Hart Vision Awards for School of the Year in Northern California.

In addition to being a teacher, Eller is also the lead vocalist of emo band The Co Founder. The group donated proceeds from music sales earlier this year to Stacey Abrams' Fair Fight Action organization. Abrams, a Democrat, ran and failed to be Georgia’s governor in 2018. She has repeatedly refused to concede the election.

With that said of course... why the hell are so many crazies in education?

There are myriad factors.
First, the pay is garbage, especially in the Bay Area. Public school teachers (and AIMs is a publicly funded charter district) make anywhere from ~55k-80k in salary. That's way below the cost of living in the region. On the lower end of that, you're living with roommates. On the upper end of that, maybe you can afford a really shitty 1 bedroom apartment. MAYBE. So, because the pay is so low, anyone capable or talented either finds a gig with a private school or goes into other fields that might pay them a better wage.
Following that, "those who can't do, teach" is a parable for a reason. There are educators who are gifted at teaching and are well-suited for the field, but a lot of education is done by people who couldn't cut it in the business world and are essentially retreating back into academia.
And one can't discount the fact that political radicals are extremely likely to be drawn to education as a means to spread their ideology. That's what got Gabriel Gipe in trouble (the dude who got catfished by Project Veritas a few months back into admitting he was pressuring his students into radicalism)
