Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp all go down in major outage

Could one of our valued Jewish friends please tell me if now is a good time to buy?
It's obviously a little volatile at the moment, but I would expect its market valuation to return to normal.
Don't expect any crazy capital gains though, you have to look at stock prices in % instead of $.

I believe Anonymous is taking credit for the situation. Posted screenshots not sure what to make of it though. Could be fake news just thought i’d add it here

  • There is also supposedly 1.5 billion to 5 billion account's info for sale due to a hack.
    • "Data contains users’: name, email, phone number, location, gender, and user ID."
Is this "hack" that one "breach" that was obtained through scraping?

Holy shit I'm so thrilled. Please make it last as long as possible. The web already feels cleaner. What kind of esoteric techno politico glowy SHODAN-level of bullshit is actually happening behind it all may be the real meat of this mess tho. Maybe Josh was really angry this monday.

EDIT : God fucking damn it

Sorry to say it man, but you came in JUST when it ended.

*Looks up from his computer. With a surge of panic he leaps to his feet, knocks over his chair, throws off black tophat and whips a pair of evil looking sunglasses off of his face and behind his back*

Yeah. Yeah. That's... um... that's a shame.

Almost definitely caused by some turnover in some department. Tech world has been undergoing a massive hiring/resigning spree, and I'm guessing this is going to trigger a big pay raise for anyone not directly involved in this fuckup just to keep them around and prevent a similar situation in the future.

And I wouldn't get too excited about other apps going down. Most will have some form of Facebook integration they're running tests against, and any place worth their salt will make it onerous to deploy unless everything is flying green. Probably will get fixed when Facebook is back (or they skip those specs).
